I am sure we will hear about it till then.
Should put a dollar into a pot everyday his cap penalty is mentioned. Than when his deal finally comes off the books take that money and blow it on booze

I'll call the paramedics.

Taffoli not gonna get more than 4.5 to 5 mill

7x7 will be something we'll be lucky to get TT at.

Remember when every Leafs fans trade proposal included Toffoli+?

Toffoli + picks for Phaneuf....

Fine he's a long shot to make the NHL with that skating anyway so good luck

I for one am really proud of Brown. He busted his butt to come into camp in the best shape of his life. He has accepted his role and pretty much does whatever Sutter asks of him to the best of his ability.

Sure, he is paid too much for what he contributes, but he contributes without complaints about playing time or with whom he is playing. Not many former star players in the NHL are willing to do that. We're lucky to have another one on the roster in Lecavalier as well.

Well said.

Yep, he's been a good soldier. I mean there's very few complaints even here about his actual play, even his production to a degree, as he's obviously trucking away being a good leader and do the right thing...i just with the salary cap wasn't a thing so he wasn't prohibitively expensive versus his production.

lol

really, just lol

I'm proud of Brown too. Really, I am.

If he wants to really contribute he should get retired.

Rich hammond in nhl network/siriusxm saying gabo on the 4th line in practice today. Slowly working his way down the depth chart.

You hear Daryl say that some of the new guys don't know what it takes to win, perhaps Gaborik is there to help educate them.:)

Yup, Brown got paid, decided he was a hockey player, stopped playing the game that made him successful. Which was dancing on the line and agitating the other team with big hits. Good for Brown, working hard and being passed on the depth chart by every winger... yeah I'd keep Clifford/Nolan/Mersch over him because of the price differential and lets face it there isn't going to be that much of a drop in production. Good on him for being one of the worst contracts in the league. He's working hard.

Oh yeah, and we haven't even gotten to Brown's **** play in the defensive zone. I've seen him face down on the ice while the guy from his point skates in wide open for a goal 2 times in the last 10 games. Sure it was interference that caused Brown to be face down on the ice... With as much as he falls over the reffs didn't buy it either.

Still waiting on King to pass Brown in goals, after being out 2 months with a broken foot.

Good on Brown for making the Lucic trade necessary.
Good on Brown for seriously handicapping the Kings cap going forward.

The best part is all Brown really has to do to be successful on one of the top lines is to hit, win board battles, and get the puck to guys that can shoot. Brown, "I do better when I hold the puck longer." can't be played on the top lines because he destroys production from those lines. It's too the point that Sutter even has come to the conclusion the team is better off with Brown no where near the top 6. This is a coach that loves his grinders.

When was the last time Brown even had a thread on the main board?

I feel better.

5.8M... Kings will be lucky to get out of this without retaining 2M.

Simply a comment on Brown's attitude, and not his paycheck (although I did say he was overpaid), but troll on.

When do we handle his deal again?
My guess is in the 6es.... Though if its not going to be made until after next season, we will have to see what he does next year for sure.

It can happen anytime after July 1st. And look at the numbers of him vs Tarasenko. He really mirrors him almost perfectly. And had just the one year at 37 before he got his 7.5M. I actually think waiting makes it higher if we wait. Unless he falls off a cliff.

He deserves to get paid if he ends up with 35 or more especially on a defensive minded team. Personally I think he is part of the core with kopi Carter doughty and quick now.

His board play has been really impressive this year as well.
