Toffoli is a versatile player. Not only can he score goals, he can kill penalties, and contribute defensively. If he's getting over 35 goals, for sure he will be worth more than 7 mil.

I'd have NO problem giving Toffoli 8 years. That's the player you give it to without hesitation.

I still think 40.

And I see that KTM avatar. Hamilton... KTM... Corvette Racing better be next!

The KTM avatar is more of the rider Dean Wilson and not the bike. Although good bike. Massive Corvette Racing fan...loved the Dale Jr driven Racing Corvette before he crashed it

But back to hockey...I'd definitely give Toffoli 8 years but just have this weird feeling that it won't be 8. I think Sutter is going to mix up the lines again massively and he will have a small slump and only get 36/37.

Adding Rockenfeller and Fassler was huge. I was so pumped when I heard those two were onboard. Tons of talent and experience between them. Factor that in with Milner, Magnussen, Garcia, and Gavin and this team is ****ing stacked.

I was gonna go and had the itinerary all set up. Just couldn't make it work though because I've been real busy with work. Should be a great one with all the new cars - 488, GT, revised C7.R, Huracan GT3, M6 GT3, etc. Was hoping the AMG GT would be done, but it appears the paperwork won't be done for a while same with the RC-F. Hearing six months most likely.

That depends. Are you talking about Getzlaf's hairline? :naughty:

Let's say I was than that question would read, "if getzlaf's <Hair Line> is permanent does his contract become worse than Brown's?"

What would your answer be? How does getzlaf being bald have an impact on Brown?

Did...did I ruin it?

Maybe the skill was in the hair. :sarcasm:

I think the Ducks will be even more boned by the Kesler contract. That was just insanity on the part of Murray. Six years at $6.875M AAV and the contract doesn't expire until after the 2021-22 season for a guy that is 31 years old is just dumb. Duck fans defended it by saying if they didn't pay that another team would have, and they are probably right, but this idea that you have to give a guy a long term deal when he probably only has 2 or 3 years left as a useful player at that kind of cap hit is going to be something the owners will try to correct in the next CBA.

Kesler with 18 points in 44 games, and a -14 is a disaster for that franchise. His only positive this season is his faceoff win percentage.

This is always amusing.

Both are bad but Kessler only has one year longer than getz, has a lower points per cap hit, has more TOI/game, and better FO%. There are stats for getz to, but I think the argumetn could go either way.

not sure if that links properly but it DobblerHockey comparing Brown, getzlaf and Kessler.

what's impressive is when a deal is terrible but you find out that the player turned down more $$ elsewhere. I believe when Vinny signed in Philly there were reported offers for same term but more $$ elsewhere.
So Philadelphia and now LA got a "bargain". haha

I completely agree with you YP44, Getzlaf has to rebound or his contract is a bad deal. At least he signed it before he hit 30 years of age though. I don't get what Murray was thinking when he handed out the Kesler contract.

Does any GM ever walk away when confronted with this dilema?

Yzerman seems like he might be up to the challenge.

What is unique about the stamkos situation is how little the lightening are using him and relying on him. He is playing way less than normal. It's almost like they're trying to test to see if they can be a competitive team without him.

I don't know. I look at that team and I don't think they are quite there yet. Yzerman may feel the same way and feel like he is better off re-scheduling his window to a later date.

The problem for TB may be that there is a young team in Miami that seems to have their core pieces of the puzzle, and they are very young and talented.

Did the link work?
ya I agree if next year Getz is still crap and Kessler is still kessler that's $15.125 to two centres not producing.
Next year LA will have Kopitar and Carter for $15.27.
I know which tandem I would rather have.
Does that help you with the kopitar deal?

I like Florida, but Tampa should have those pieces too.
take away stamkos and they still have a good top line, a stud d-man, and a legit starter.
Tampa is deep, but have a ton of RFA's to sign before i have any idea what the team will look like beyond this year.

For the immediate future, it's not as bad as what the Ducks are going to roll with, but I wouldn't let that be the standard to go by in evaluating our cap situation.

Down the middle, I don't TB being a team to beat. At least not like Florida could be in the near future.
