Who's banged up?
Only reason this is significant is because we still have McBain too, do we not? Seems like a little overboard in case of insurance for the roadtrip.

Scuderi got shaken up in the 3rd but came back.
I'm really hoping Gravel can get in there somewhere on the left side and solidify the spot.
would really like the experiment of seeing up there w/ Drew... Hell McNabb looks better
w/ sheltered 3rd pair minutes as Jim points out a lot. Scud came in looking great but his
play is slow and tailing off FAST.
throw gravel in the fire and let's see what we got. I kinda think it'll work.
I agree. I think McNabb is a good third-pairing defenseman. It's too bad we don't have a right-handed second-pairing defenseman, otherwise we'd have a hell of a defense. Imagine if we still had Voynov.
Muzzin - Doughty
Martinez - Voynov
McNabb - Schenn
That's a Stanley Cup caliber defense.
****in' Voynov. Any RHDs available this offseason?
Adding another solid D on top of Doughty/Muzzin/Martinez isn't going to happen. Swapping Muzzin or Martinez for a RHD might happen.
With the expansion coming up lots of teams are going to cut down to 3D to protect. The choice, going into the playoffs will be to move players or compete and risk losing guys for nothing. It would be a great year for the Kings to load up on depth defenders. Guys like Schenn that are decent, probably won't get picked off in an expansion or won't be the end of the world if they do. The Kings system is built to utilize these types of D. It's going to be a good opportunity.
Agree. I'd take on a couple of DMen - just so I can lose one and gain some depth with the other pickups. Although, I'd prefer if the LV Black Knights draft Brown.
Has this name been decided upon? It's funny. Years ago, I was thinking "Vegas Knights" all the way. It'd be awesome if whoever owned that franchise was thinking the same thing.
Sadly, it'll probably be something stupid like the "Vegas Stakes" or the "Vegas Bandits" or the "Vegas Gold Nuggets" .......

Two names set the Kings back defensively.
Voynov and Forbort. If Voynov didn't beat up his wife and get 86'ed from the league, or Forbort developed into what was expected the Kings are fine with a top 4 of Doughty/Muzzin/Martinez/Voynov(Forbort).
You could also add McNabb onto that as well, Kings have had very poor luck on defenseman the past few years.
Rumour has been balck nights since day 1 as far as what I have heard.
I think it would be cool if they find a Mafia type name to got with. Las Vegas Aces sound nice, but would fall into your stupid category.

it's really a testament to Sutter's system (and of course the guys who have bought into it) how dominant this defense is year in and year out despite the only real constant over the last several seasons being Doughty.
Took Muzzin and AMart a bit to really settle into their own, and most other guys have been vets in decline, or young D that needed a lot of development. Voynov was probably the most solid guy behind Doughty, I still maintain he'd have been a high-end #2 by this point, not unlike what Muzzin is now.
Top two names for me.
Voynov (not sure how anyone could argue that), and Hickey.
LA should have Alzner.
Colton Teubert. We would've known what it was like to have the best defenseman in the NHL if the Kings drafted Karlsson instead.
