Is it too late to cut Perlini? Yes? Howabout bilaterally on both wrists?

Another two points each for Matthews and Aho. Unfortunately, another injured player for me as Saarijarvi left in the 1st period feeling ill. With him and DeBrincat out, I'm losing out on a ton of points. :(

I'm still absolutely shocked at how well the draft-eligible players are playing in this tournament. Everyone knew Matthews was legit but Puuljujarvi and Laine continue to impress. They are simply dominant and I'm amazed they're so badly outshining Raantanen. Either of the two would look amazing on McDavid's wing.

With regards to Team Canada, I really dislike Virtanen's game. I understand he's a guy who likes to get under the other team's skin but that penalty he took was beyond dumb and was a huge momentum shift. Add in the fact that he's chirping despite providing basically nothing out on the ice and he's been Canada's most disappointing player. A 19 year old 6th overall pick should be absolutely lighting this tournament up and he's been given every opportunity to do that.

I wonder, have Puuljujarvi and Laine shown enough to make the race for 1st overall in 2016 interesting?

3 points for Timo Meier today with 2 more games against Belarus to go. 2 assists by Proporov. A goal for Lindholm and an assist for Sanheim though my goalie didn't finish the game vs Canada which sucks. And Schmaltz has a goal so far.

You also have an assist from Boeser

Up to 45 points now after another big day with a shutout from Nedeljkovic, 3 goals from Matthews, and a goal from DeBrincat in his return. I'm still a few points back of Paralyzer but my whole team is moving on to the quarter finals which is huge. Hopefully DeBrincat can pick up some points - it looks like he lost his spot on the top line though. :(

I'm really regretting not taking some defencemen a little earlier in the draft. Sharipyanov and Krys were both bottom of the barrel picks but I thought I'd at least get a couple points out of each of them. I chose Saarijarvi over Juolevi because he had the extra year of development on him but Juolevi just keeps putting up points. He's looking like a top 10 pick at this point to my eyes - he moves the puck so well.

It sucks to see the Oilers keep losing but it's tough not to get at least a little excited given how well the draft eligible players are playing in this tournament. Laine, Matthews, Puljujarvi, Juolevi, and Tkachuk are all draft eligible and top 7 in tournament scoring - that's absolutely insane!

I lost Strome, Zacha and Jaros and probably only have a game left out of Siegenthaler who hasn't done anything.

It's Matthews versus Puljujarvi ;)

I'm just in awe of how well Puljujarvi has played. Early in the draft I had a chance to take one of the two big Finns and I decided to go with Kamenev and his AHL experience along with the older Aho. I really thought the older Raantanen would dominate the ice time for Finland but he's taken a huge back-seat. What a disappointing tournament for him given his elite numbers in the AHL.

Only lost Sanheim so far, will get at least 1 more game out of Meier (or do the relegation games automatically play all 3 games?). 6 points from Meier and Schmaltz today was a nice wind fall.

He's still alive, but I vote Svechnikov for worst pick haha
It's surprising too, as he was dominating the pre-tournament games!

There is an interesting argument being made right now about Russian players developing better at home than in the CHL and it will be interesting to watch how Svechnikov progresses.
