It's surprising too, as he was dominating the pre-tournament games!

There is an interesting argument being made right now about Russian players developing better at home than in the CHL and it will be interesting to watch how Svechnikov progresses.

There is, I could read Russian posters on the prospects board rant about it all day . But Lazarev is second fiddle to Yevgeni in the Cape Breton games I've seen and he's been great in this tourney!

I think it takes a special kid to come over from Russia and flourish in junior. There's just so many factors in play. I mean, it's hard for some kid from Manitoba to leave the farm to join a team a few hours away, let alone the massive culture shock of coming to NA from Russia.
