I think the crappy ride and stuff was to simulate when it's really ****** in the middle of the league on road games(Pl,s correct me if I'm wrong). I think they did the same for todays exhibiton game vs Tappara where the team did play better atleast.

Well to not go way too off topic do we get to know Ro32 matchups after the last games are played or during some special event coming up?

They'll have a draw 8th September. You'll be able to follow it on CHL website

I kinda wished we'd end 2nd. I wanted us to draw Kärpät, Zurich or Davos ;)

Now I want Sparta Prague, we have some unfinished buisness

They've been struggling for the past couple of years. They made the playout in 2014 and they got swept in the semis by Davos last year. So we'll see what they have in store this year. The big difference with Swedish teams is that they all qualified for the next round and that's, according to me, what's put them on top of Europe.

Alright thanks for the little info on Bern I'm not as knowledgable about NLA these days unlike back when I saw Zurich with Ari Sulander in goal :yo: win the older Champions Hockey league back in 2008-2009 season(I think).

Alright thanks. Lets hope we get some high level team or a team like Stavanger(Remember Josh Soares  )

Very entertaining affair between Sparta and Geneva. Reway is such a little hell raiser and a fantastic player. Believe he was the guy that got hit behind the net sparking the fight, then proceeds to score on the penalty shot. Great stuff.

Assuming Sparta Praha advances, what are the chances that they'll get to play ZSC? I have no idea what the format is, would love to see Matthews play though.

Needless to say, I am pleased with the draw

How has the attendance been at these games? Praha-Geneva was announced at 3,000. Is it similar across the board? Also is this more or less people to be expected at a regular league match for these teams (I guess Praha in particular)?

Mannheim's last home game was almost sold out.

Here's a good look at attendance and how it compares to national leagues: http://www.eurohockey.com/article/4132-chl--hot-or-not.html

The Düsseldorf league average there is a bit skewed because they hosted this year's DEL winter game in a soccer stadium which drew 51k people. Without it their average would have been around 6100, so the CHL average would have been about 108% of that.
Mind you their attendance has been on the rise anyway over the course of the last season as it's been the first time in quite a while that the team hasn't been completely terrible.

There was around 5000 people at both games in Hamar (Storhamar)

last year average attendance in Sparta games was around 6500. First round in playoff was always around 9000, than 10-11500, semifinal final sold out (12500).that was all in old arena. This year is first one in O2 arena so we will see. 3000 would be considered as very bad attendance for league match....

Sparta Prague had 3:0 lead yet they ended up with 3:2
Litvinov had 4:1 lead and right now it's 4:3...

Like seriously play some defense....

I watched last 10 minutes Vienna - Litvinov and it looked like on shooting range. Still Travnicek said they had controlled it, so I dont know :) Nothing looked under control :)

Sparta looked bit ran out of gas since second half of the match.... Dont know whether it was because they started to play more deffense and loose the pace or just because of Curych quality....

As an American Hockey fan, i think the CHL is great idea. It introduces all the European leagues and makes them interesting. However, it does not look like it is being well received in Europe except maybe by the lower rank nations.

Why is this tournament playing to empty arenas?

Is it because:

-there is no KHL.
-Teams have A license (Automatic qualified)
-Too many teams.
-Teams and fans are not familiar with the other teams and leagues
-or is it something else?

I believe if the CHL does not become successful. Than top Euro clubs will create a super league or join KHL.
