Dear Hockey Gods, please let my team play RB München in the playoffs, in Munich, on the 22nd of September. Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please.

Why???
I mean I am aware, that the Oktoberfest starts on the 19th, and I assume that is why would like your team to play in Munich at that time, but unless you have a place to stay this will be an insanely expensive time to come to Munich, even if you manage to get a place further away from the town center and from the Oktoberfest grounds.

For example a real dump of a hotel which in a not so pleasant part of Munich but close to the Oktoberfest raises it's prices from 68€ for a two-bed-room to 328€ during the opening week of the Oktoberfest.

Anyway, if it happens, and you come to Munich I hope you have a great time.

ZUG is officially out. Ugly play from one of their players going out at the end trying to injure a Djurgården player....yikes

Good game, though. Entertaining: lot's of chances, physical play, emotions, nice goals, speed, intensity. Mistakes, some sloppy plays, but hey, it's very early in the season. Couple of nasty plays, you're right, but anyone calling this a gimmicky tournament don't know what the **** they're talking about.

I thought it was one of the better games I've seen from this tournament so far, the crowd was great too.

Geez Reway is one hell of a player!

He is indeed. I find it quite funny when there are trade proposals that include Reway (Montreal) and people are like ''Who the hell is Reway''
I think he has pretty bright future.
PS: Damn, Geneve just scored :(

People in Canada just don't care about European hockey I guess.. But it won't be long until they know who he is :yo:

SC Bern-Linköping 1-7 :amazed:

In all honesty I'd be pretty embarrassed if I were a bern fan

I think it's obvious that Swiss teams don't care about this CHL  I mean Bern isn't even playing against Linkoping.. And they held a press conference last week where they said that the NLA and the Cup are their priorities. They should not even participate in this competition if they're not involved, same thing for other NLA teams, just do like KHL teams..

yea...because Linköping has so much to play for

Even if this was a training match, plenty of people would get upset here if their team lost with those numbers.

I don't think Bern fans really care. They've been the most attended team in Europe for the past 20 years yet they barely draw 5,000 in the CHL..

I honestly believe ''not caring'' is an incredibly weak excuse to have. I'm not gonna argue against a clubs chocie to focus harder on leagues and domestic cups, but hiding behind the fact that these games are ''preseason'' or ''not important'' makes it sounds like they think they would win easily if they actually tried which I really, really doubt :P

The attendance is better in NLA than SHL in CHL. Yet swedish teams still show that they can play hockey, even thought teams like Djurgården and Växjö didn't even know the rules of CHL.

But fine, lets say all NLA team just doesn't give a damn about CHL. That explains the bad results....

To be fair the difference weren't as big as the score might suggest. Bern really tried during the first two periods (which were fairly close), but they kind of gave up when Linköping made it 4-1 early in the 3rd. Seeing how few goals Linköping allows per game I don't blame them.

Kudos to the Bern fans though, who kept it up until the end.

It is a weak excuse, though you guys are acting like this is a common result and if they played another game it would be the same. It wouldn't, Swiss team just didn't have it's day. Just like Nitra against Liberec (0:9) or today's KalPa against Trinec (0:6)

Seriously, Swedish teams are better than any other European teams (Excluding KHL) but not like ten tiers better.

It seems to me as if Bern didn't take this CHL seriously. Then you have Fribourg and Geneva who were quite awful. Zug I can't tell as I haven't seen any of their games, so they're a huge question mark. Then the only teams who made it to the 1/16 finals are the two teams who faced off in the NLA Final last April.. So I'm really looking forward to this NLA season to see how those teams fare and see if Bern eventually step up their game or if they're actually not that good.

I have always seen Bern as a top european club even by KHL standards together with Davos and Zurich from NLA so seeing Bern this weak feels weird. Maybe it ticked me off a bit. Well I can't say I've been proud of my own clubs play either especially last game in Ingolstadt.

To be fair, the team got a crappy ride to Ingolstadt. Blame the management

still, the first 30 min clearly showed the skill difference between the teams.....and then the penalties happened. A total of 21 min of penalties in the last 30 min allowed Ingolstadt to win. When was the last time something like that happened?

They've been struggling for the past couple of years. They made the playout in 2014 and they got swept in the semis by Davos last year. So we'll see what they have in store this year. The big difference with Swedish teams is that they all qualified for the next round and that's, according to me, what's put them on top of Europe.

I think the crappy ride and stuff was to simulate when it's really ****** in the middle of the league on road games(Pl,s correct me if I'm wrong). I think they did the same for todays exhibiton game vs Tappara where the team did play better atleast.

Well to not go way too off topic do we get to know Ro32 matchups after the last games are played or during some special event coming up?
