Watching the Djurgarden game, some nice moves from Marcus Sorensen, who owns his NHL rights these days?

Swedes c'mooon, you'll have the entire season to go see the same old teams you see season after season after season. Go see some new teams! I mean c'mon, 2k something spectators for all swedish home games. TPS atleast had somewhat respectable 4k+. If Ässät was in on this, I would so much rather go see Ässät vs. any CHL team, than a regular season Liiga game....Well I am still a season ticket holder for Ässät and used to go see all the local finnish fifth tier hockey games on an outside hockey rink even if it was -25 celsius, so guess I'm just a massive sucker for hockey and can't expect there to be all that many alike.

Just my 2 cents of the situation:

I believe that Swedes are used to watch good hockey, as the SHL is the best European league in this tournament. I believe that the average hockey fan doesn't want to see their team play against any worse opponents, especially when the SHL is very equal in the matter of skill. Looking at last season's CHL, the Swedish and Finnish teams dominated the tournament. What is the fun with a tournament like that? If the Czech and Swiss teams would step up in the playoffs, I can guarantee that the interest in this tournament will raise.

Having the KHL in this tournament would also be an important impact in raising the average attendance. Playing against SKA Saint Petersburg, CSKA Moscow, Ak Bars Kazan or one of the EU teams (Jokerit for instance) is a lot more interesting than playing against the average CHL team. I just hope that both parts find a solution soon..

Also, remember that the football season still is ongoing, plus that it's late August – no good time for hockey.

It's 20 degrees celcius in a lot of the swedish cities, the football season is underway with football champions league qualifiers. Hockey is the last thing swedes care about right now. Call back in late September/early October and we can talk.

Some serious fog in Nitra.

Godrno upset Mannheim, Endras is a good goaler, but letting 2 goals on 15 shots is absurd.

Still early in the tournament, but so far it was been way competitive since last year. Only the UK teams getting demolished.

Whole rink is pretty poor in Nitra, unfortunately.

I just can't see myself lifting my ass and going to the arena just to watch us play against Braehead clan.

Give us a team like Kärpät and you might see the arena attendance go up to 4000+. Or Lugano (they're not in CHL), with all their swedes.

Give us something. We want challenge.

Nitra-fans even made a choreo... makes me feel bad about the rematch on thursday, with the local food festival and the Stanley Cup arriving on the same day I doubt there'll even be 2000 in attendance.
