Frölunda and Luleå definitely look like the two Swedish teams who put the work in to win this. Too bad for them they played each other in the QF. Frölunda has been pretty clutch so far, fun games vs Dick Axelsson coming.
Why is the attendance so poor. Europeans uninterested in the tournament?
OK, interesting. Thanks for response. I always envied the prevalence of tournaments in European hockey. Sure beats the monotony of 68 and 82 game regular seasons in North America.Central Europe has been more interested, Nordics have a fairly congested domestic schedule (especially Finns), meaning if teams have several home games during the week, the fans are likely to pass on one. Kärpät had a home game on Tuesday and Wednesday. Lukko got pretty much their season average and will most likely get more for the semifinal.

About 1000 people in Rauma, even with Puljujärvi/Aho playing. This tournament is a joke.
This lack of attendance is highly disturbing.
On the Swiss side, teams say they take this tournament seriously, yet in summer they start training 1 or 2 weeks before it starts. And then they do not allign all players .. but maintain that they take it seriously. Highly questionable.
So, very logically, results are poor and people don't show up.
a classical chain reaction.
I regret it, it would be great to have the same than in Soccer. The best teams meeting ... that would be a thrill for hockey lovers.
So let's hope Davos beats Frolunda. That would sound strange, CHL final without Swedish team.
That's pretty bad, though Lukko does have a home game tomorrow, so that probably affected it a lot.About 1000 people in Rauma, even with Puljujärvi/Aho playing. This tournament is a joke.

I don't understand why people in Rauma didn't go see the SF game. It's a game with actual stakes against a relatively interesting opponent, especially from a Finnish perspective, you'd think they would go see that instead of a regular season match against KooKoo today. Baffling.
I'd like to ask you guys, especially to Finns and Swedes, if semi-finalists of CHL care about this tournament. I mean, is this profitable or important for them? Well, anyone would probably care when they are in second leg of semi-finals but I still want to know how motivated the teams are.
I was planning to watch Kärpät-Lukko today but I may not be available at the time of game, so if you think this is a game worth watching, I will try making the arrangement for it.
