Tough game tonight. Bako giving Reign issues this year. Just one of those teams. Plenty of chances, plenty of shots, just didn't get some of them to fall. Backman missed the net on a wide open weak side one timer on the PP. Perfectly set up. Couple of real nice plays by Kempe into the slot bounced over sticks. Mersch on a back check has the puck go off his stick and in.

Just one of those nights. Reign didn't play too bad, just didn't play well enough and didn't get a few bounces.

Moment of the game might have been Nilsson's glove save on the powerplay on Backman. Just an unreal glove snatch on a for sure goal. Might have been the turning point. Would have been 2-1 exiting the first if not for that.

Reign shut out 3-0 by Stockton tonight. They've outshot opponents 127-62 in last three, have 4 goals & three losses to show for it. Some key plays tonight.

Refs miss pretty obvious board on Dowd in 1st. He left game, but did return:

Poulin makes a big save on Dowd with a couple minutes left in the contest. Afterwards, Riley potted an empty netter.

Kadobolin (sp?) made a relatively routine glove save on a Jeff Schultz slap shot, and this guy said Schultz has an 100 mph shot!!!

Tightly-contested game tonight -- 17 seconds between the first two goals, 22 seconds between the 3rd and 4th goals, no fights. Elsten said it looked somewhat like a playoff game in terms of style, and I wouldn't say he's far off the mark.

revelation on Zykov...this is actually a good thing and probably the main reason for 7 goals and 14 pts. Maybe if he was healthy, he would have double the output. Just hope he gets healthy.
