I think a lot of you are really selling Wood short (don't laugh). Yeah, he's stuck playing prep school hockey, but he shouldn't be there. He was trying to accelerate his courses so he could be at BC this fall, but his parent's wanted him to finish his senior year. He has the skill; it's obvious. I forget who mentioned it (maybe Morreale) but he stated that when the US management brings off the board players to camp, it was to fill a specific role, i.e. Jimmy Vesey playing on the top line on the gold-medal team two years ago. If he makes it, watch out.

Wood's hard to predict. At least he didn't get shafted though I'm not sure what's inside his head.
 
Could someone please post the final score in the Denmark game. It is nowhere to be found on the internet. Not TSN which broadcast the game. Not even Team USA's homepage.

You do realize this is a completely different team and tournament you're asking about, right?
 
Anyone think Bracco going to make this team. Had a nice assist and line with compher played in the offensive zone most of the night. Line had about three or four nice scoring chances. What are chances this line stays together.

Eichel, Milano, Tuch, Santini and Halverson are scratched.

De Leo moving to left wing could put Wood's place in question again. It seems pretty obvious the cuts will come from the last two lines and last two pairings.

Bracco was alright the other night and I think he's still got a chance to make the team but I'd say there's no chance they keep that line intact.
 
Wow. The US defencemen are huge. I find it somewhat amusing that the smallest of them are the one named "Butcher". But I guess that's my sick sense of humor.

Did Cole Cassels make the cut? Or is the roster not final yet? I haven't seen him play, but I really liked his dad.

there are a couple more cuts to go. hes on the bubble.

He's not even on the team yet and BEHIND Werenski in USA eyes.

Wouldn't deserve a letter on next seasons team.

Eichel had the C vs BU. But I'd imagine Santini/Compher would have it. Eichel a lock to have an A, Fasching id bet to have the other A
 
Wood and Bracco stating their cases:

GOAL: With 11:53 to play in the second, Miles Woods nets one on a great feed from Jeremy Bracco. U.S. now leads 3-0. #USAWJC
