lol. Toews played probably his most formative four years of hockey in the US, but I'm sure even that would get spun somehow on here.Pretty sure that McCarron came through that "crappy development program" that your referring to, so nice try on the USA hockey snub.
I'm sure that Hayden not snubbing the crappy American development system for the most efficient league/team in producing NHLers didn't have to do with it![]()
You guys mind weighing in on points potential for the defensemen? For pool purposes of course
I'm thinking:
Hanifin
Werenski
McCoshen
That look about right? I have a hard time projecting the underagers.
If DeAngelo makes the team, he's #1. McCoshen isn't a big point producer. Will Butcher had 5 points in 5 games at the WJC last year, so he should be up there also.
...USA Hockey has passed Hockey Canada in its ability to develop, as I've seen even a few Canadians argue.
????
Do you have a specific question?
Do you have a specific question? Canada's unquestionably superior to the USA at producing players, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about development. I don't necessarily agree but, yes, I've seen many people make the argument that in recent years USA Hockey has surpassed Hockey Canada in developing the talent it has.
What's the latest on Santini on D. Will he be ready?
Based on the forward lines being run at practice, I'd say the cuts are:
For Sure
Woods
Louis
De Leo
Bubble
McCarron
Cassels
Bracco
Who are the contenders for the C? Any chance for Compher?
????
What's the latest on Santini on D. Will he be ready?
Funny since one could make the argument that USA Hockey has passed Hockey Canada in its ability to develop, as I've seen even a few Canadians argue. At the very least not a single reasonable person would say USA Hockey's development system is crappy.
