Loui was also playing great the second half of the season. But he needs a good center to be effective, we still need a #1 center.

Yes, I think overall centers is the weakness for Sweden, we have H. Sedin, Zetterberg and Bäckström but behind them there are no #1 center options. I mean Backlund, Berglund and Zibanejad are good players, but hardly world beaters. I hope we get a new center to break out soon, because Zetterberg and Sedin are in the twilight of their careers.

Any way, I hope we get Zibanejad once the Senators are done. He will probably be ok as #1 for the worlds. (Zetterberg, Sedin and Bäckström are all trailing their respective series, but I don't feel to optimistic about them accepting an invite).

I'm guessing RW with Rask in the middle. With the current roster, I hope Eriksson will play on their LW. I think they would be the best players capable of setting him up.

Sedin - Sedin - Eriksson, goddammit!

Enström has not been asked to join "since he made it very clear last year he didn't want to play for the national team". From Marie Lehmann's twitter, quote from Mårts.

I am ok with that, but I am a bit old fashioned about manning up for the nation so...

It will be interesting what comes it of the first round in D-way now

Edler
OR Nothing

Karlsson
OR
Nothing

Gunnarsson
OR
Brodin

Oduya
Hjalmarsson
OR
Ekholm

Gunnarsson and Ekholm is the worst case, I can live with both of them in blue and yellow.

Same here. He's not that high on my wish list either.

It has been known for a few years now that he is like that. What was it considering the Olymnpic now again? He wanted to be top-6 guaranteed or what, i cant remember but it was something. Its good we dont need the bum anyhow, he's obviously past his prime since a few years back and our defensemen pipeline is rivaling Canada's.

No, he just wanted to rest. For about five years.

Even if we already have almost a better center lineup than in the olympic finale, we still are missing a proper first line center. Rask/Lindholm/Lander/Josefsson are good 2-4 line centers, but not the big one that should lead the team forward.

Also

Hedman/Strålman
Or
Kronwall/Ericsson

Maybe Folin also?

Btw, I would rather take Ekholm over Hjalmarsson/Oudya, since then maybe Forsberg comes with the package, and for the same reason I would probabaly take Gunnarsson above Brodin/Folin. Steen and Berglund becomes available then

No big lose, since we have such a good deep among d-mens, but I really like him. One of the best skater in the game and a great passer.

Really was a bad game for evaluation because both teams never played at the same time. It's always good to win against Russia in Russia though.

Was it your the 1st team?

More or less. Loui Eriksson, Jimmie Ericsson and Oscar Moller didn't play, plus more possible additions from Skellefteå and NHL.

But the game was bad for evaluation because Russia didn't care to play defense in the first period. I felt really bad for Khudobin. Maybe he could have stopped a couple, but he didn't get any help whatsoever. Then in the 2nd and 3rd, Sweden stopped skating, which is normal when you have that big of a lead. Hopefully the game tomorrow is a better indicator of things.
