According to the SVT broadcast of SWE - CZE, Staffan Kronwall and Daniel Rahimi have been promised a spot on the WC squad by MÃ¥rts. So I guess the D is more or less settled:

Oliver Ekman-Larsson
John Klingberg
Oscar Klefbom
Staffan Kronwall
Daniel Rahimi

I'm guessing there is one or two slots left, depending on how many first round exitees MÃ¥rts intend to wait on

I definetly feel that the D will be the strength of this team.

I saw some note about Ahnelöv aswell, but only promised a reserve spot or something. He probably gets a spot depending on more NHL invites. It's a 25 man roster, anyway.

CHI-NSH and DET-TBL are big Swede series and guys will be available, so it comes down to who accepts an invite. Three of Hedman, Hjalmarsson, Kronwall, Ericsson, Strålman and Ekholm will be available for invites. All solid+. To get one of the six would be big for three good pairings.

I don't know about Hjalmarsson, Lundqvist and Tallinder are all knocked out in their respective championships. Since they're not already on the squad, I imagine they're not in the running.

There is no word on Nemeth, but I didn't include him since I didn't think he was an option.

Insane that Åslund, Andersén and Calle is still in the team, ,,,,I don't see how they are better than Ridderwall/Fransson/Junland/Tallinder etc...

Sörensen remains, which is deserved. Ericsson and Möller should push a couple out of the team, plus two to three NHL forwards maybe, depends on the teams that are eliminated.
 
Holmström should be a lock after this playoff.

Not sure if it was the right move to take in Josefsson and Lindström and already give a place to Rahimi, now many good players from NHL can be available and it can be hard to fit in everyone if they now want to go.

I would much rather have a hot player like Holmström than a cold player like Lindström.

I do not really get why Mårts have taking in so many medicore players from NHL like Josefsson and Lindström. Lindström was good last year, but he will likely not be as good this year. Now many good players from NHL can be available and it can be hard to fit in everyone, because they have already giving the place to Josefsson and Lindström?

Holmström has one good playoffs but hasn't proven anything at higher levels.

Considering that these are the last games before the start of the tournament, it will be hard for European skaters (like Burström, Heed and Rosén, Axel Holmström) to grab a place on the team. I think only proven players like Anders Nilsson, Jimmie Ericsson and Oscar Möller can get a spot without audition
 
By the way has anyone heard anything about Loui Eriksson. I haven't seen anything, and I assume we would have heard something if he would be intrested in joining the team. But he must have been asked right? MÃ¥rts is not that crazy

The other NHLers that we haven't heard anything about, I think we can assume have not been invited
