Well we just have to wait and see what the first round gives. I don't know about any apparent injuries but those will probably emerge too. By experience you don't have that many NHL-players eligible for Tre Kronor when they are free of NHL duty. Half of them will not be asked and more than half of the rest have some kind of excuse, legit or not.

Sörensen, Johansson and Åslund have nothing to do in WC. Not really Nicky D either, but I can live with him.

Sjögren and Thuresson are both good 4th liners in WC.

Lundqvist and Fransson NEEDS to be cut from the team. They both stink.

I don't know, never liked him on the big ice.

At this point my guess is mainly star players will be asked to come. Karlsson, Steen, Zetterberg, Backstrom, Sedins etc. Not sure about a guys like Zibanejad & Berglund.

Only watched parts of the game but OEL really is on a different level when it comes to decision making.
 
Ahnelöv should be cut, although he did look better away from Rahimi, but he doesn't bring anything the team really needs.
 
Klingberg and OEL stands out. Klingberg is really bossy and have that long stick that OEL has. He definitely feels like the real deal. Almost do not want EK, just to see how they can play in a big role in WC. But off course I would not say no to EK.

I like what I see from, Lindholm, Lander, Sjögren, Thuresson, Sörensen, Johansson as well.

Overall this 2 games where fairly even.
 


I would've kept Sörensen longer. One of the few straight forward speedy guys and has done very well here. No idea what they need Lundqvist for when they have Lander and Josefson.

Lundqvist is MÃ¥rts favorit, because of morale or something.

But Sörensen have been good, so I agree with you. Many I would have rather seen go. But I think at least a few more from NHL will come, so I do not think it will matter, he will have been forced out anyway.

Agree, I actually start to wonder if there is any part of his game that is inferior to that of Lidströms.

MÃ¥rts is probably starting to add as much weight to this team as possible. Swedish meatballs are like mini-meatballs right now. Exceptions: Johansson, 90kg, Lundqvist, 91kg and Thuresson, 93 etc.

That's why I believe Hedman and Edler is on his wishlist right now. Maybe even Berglund along with Steen (95-100kg).

There are a few suitcases especially important to bring to Prag (Prague, Praha):

Staffan Kronwall's, Jimmie Ericsson's and Joel Lundqvist's. Why? - They carry amounts of culture!

Evil eyes will stare at newcomers not adapting to the hierarchy. 4 defenders will aid our top pairings and 8 (14-6) forwards will assist (!) our top lines. Markus Svensson will be ready in case of injury on Enroth.
 
PS. If Erik Karlsson arrives, double shifting him and Ekman Larsson might mean that ONE of these will be on the ice AT EVERY MOMENT!!

Klingberg: - What do you mean, second PP unit?? :amazed:
 
PS. A healthy and motivated, "team first thinking" Landeskog would have been perfect on our fourth line. Nasty injury?

I think you are right in this. And apparently Mårts reward loyalty (and disloyalty) so we will also see Sedins and Edler for that reason too and I don't think they decline (no injuries as far as can be seen). In think the goalies are set now, so no Läck even if he surely would be good enough (he is also overworked).

The NHL additions and the gabbing about them are almost the most fun part of the WC.
