So sad to hear Nichushkin is out due to his hip injury which has hold him out almost the whole season with Dallas. I was looking to see him since i regard him as and amazing talent. Well he is young and need to be ready for next season and i hope he will play for Russia in the World Cup

Why is not Zadarov here?
If Tampa is out tonight do you think Kucherov and Nesterov will go ?
And if Detroit is out will Pavel be here ?

I was hoping to see some young guys on the deffence..but must admit that i do not know everyone who is at the roster right now from the KHL.

Kutznetsov and Ovi i dont counter in but i must say i am glad for Ovi to still be in the playoff. They will be here coming world cup and boy this Kutznetskov gonne be good :) Shades of Fedorov ?

I dont understand people who says Russia compered to Canada is not good now..i think Russia has a tremendos talent if and when all the best is coming and that the future looks very very good
I just want to see more talent on deffence ( Orlov , Zhadorov and must i say this Nesterov guy looks amzing,,just ask the fans of Tampa )

To sad Radulov missing his second WC in row , he is a Warrior. But we are still good enough to win and nothing else than gold should be excepted.

And with Bob in goal we have our best guy ( next time Vasilevskiy )

Datsyuk said yes several months ago, but...he's often injury...

Our GM said: We are still waiting Ovechkin.
 
Nesterov was called up due to injury in January and was expected to be sent back down in the next 2 weeks. he's been there always since. Cooper, despite being notoriously reputed to handle rookies ultra-conservatively, now plays a 7 defensemen defense just to make room for him on the PP. Kid is an amazing offensive threat, a tremendous skater and very poised, his defense exponentially improved with the big boys and he seems to thrive under pressure and more responsibilities. I firmly believe Nesterov has a bright future with both his nhl club and Team Russia.
 
Seriously, what was the point of calling up Malkin? It's obvious he's injured and had a horrible playoffs, let the guy rest.
 
Sad that Zaitsev is injured. Was excited to see him with the NT.

With Datsyuk potentially joining the team we will see an outstanding forward group. But this defense looks just bad.

What about powerplay units? SKA unit with one Dman and other unit around mozyakin&zaripov?

Pretty strong team. Lots of guys from Sochi and last year's WHC winners.

Definately co-favorites with Canada.

From what I saw at EHT there is a probability for the typical WSH PP(not surprizingly given they are still waiting for Ovechkin and already have Kovalchuk) with a forward in the LD position for a one-timer.

Now with no Ovechkin I see 2 diffrent PP patterns One with Kovy in the LD postion probably being the SKA unit.

And then too many scorers to choose from: Malkin, Tarasenko, Mozyakin, Zaripov get in line for that Datsyuk pass.

Znaroks knows what he does. Bobrovsky is top2 goalie in tournament. With additions like Malkin, Tarasenko and possibly Datsyuk i think Russia is number one team to win championship. And ofc big euro rink is advantage vs Canada
