So I updated OP, guys..

I'll try to make a roster prediction (assuming all players available from the NHL will come).

Goalies: Alexander Salak, Jakub Kovar, Pavel Francouz
Defensemen: Michal Jordan, Jan Hejda, Ondrej Nemec, Jan Kolar, Michal Kempny, Petr Caslava, Miroslav Blatak, Jakub Nakladal
Forwards: Martin Erat, Jakub Voracek, Ales Hemsky, Tomas Hertl, Jaromir Jagr, David Krejci, David Pastrnak, Vladimir Sobotka, Jan Kovar, Roman Cervenka, Martin Rucinsky, Jakub Klepis, Jiri Novotny, Petr Koukal, Martin Zatovic (Michal Vondrka)

All in all, not so bad. Of course, defense si not very good but it's not the worst. Forwards are solid. And we'll see how Salak will handle his job, goalie will be a crucial position for us.

Anyway, I'm starting to be really pumped up about this :)

Yeah forwards look great, maybe Ruzicka has too many of them..But I disagree with Hemsky, Cervenka, Rucinsky, Koukal and Vondrka. I would give a chance to Simon and Smolenak. Ruzicka can select only 14 forwards (if U count with 8 Ds).

Me too, the forward core is starting to look really nice. Hopefully our goaltending can make-up for our not great defence. I think that Simon will make it. Not a fan of Klepis.

We seem to have an excess of RWs....someone will have to play LW. How about:

Rucinsky-Krejci-Voracek
Hertl-Sobotka-Jagr
Erat-Novotny-Pastrnak
4th line with Hemsky?

I wanna see Pasta in the top-6 but that means getting rid of Jagr..........

If Jagr decides to play I think you guys should give it. Aren't you guys hosting it this year? Would be a great way to end his world championship career if it's his last one.

He can't be assigned to AHL or am I wrong?

Mark Divver ‏@MarkDivver 2. 3.
As expected, Ferlin, Spooner, Pastrnak making quick stop on Providence roster today so they'll be eligible for AHL playoffs.

Oh come on, Bruins. ******* the AHL. Let the kid represent his country at home World Championship which would be pretty easily the biggest tournament in his career so far and great experience. Much better for his development.

‏@MarkDivver Don Sweeney tells me Peter Chiarelli hasn't made final decision on if/when Pastrnak/Spooner/Trotman will join Providence for postseason.

And what about Martin Sevc, Andrej Sustr and Jakub Vrana? There is no chance? Especially Sustr has a great season (if Tampa ends after Round 1). We need quality back there. Sorry but Kempny or Blatak don't have the skills to make the final nomination...

I'm not exactly optimistic about this tournament. There should be a lot of skill upfront yet the defense and goaltending is average at best. We've almost stopped producing NHL-caliber defensemen and I would love to be wrong here but it's going to start biting us in the a** internationally. There will be a ton of hype around the team and plenty of expectations, I just don't see it though. We can always hope to pull another 2010 but we had Vokoun back then.

Ruzicka said he a few times he'd only take Pastrnak. Seems a bit silly, especially since Simon will likely make the team......

Yeah Sustr pissed him off last year by not wanting to come to the WC. I don't think Tampa will drop out in round 1, but if they did I'm not sure Ruzicka would invite him.

Hemský has always been good with the national team, even after his usual sub-par NHL seasons.

Swedish radio reports that Ruzicka is supposedly caught on video receiving a bribe to ice a certain player in Slavia Prague. Can any Czech posters fill us in? Will he coach or is it just tabloid nonsense?
