I am happy to see that Lagesson on that roster. Amazed that so many teams have issues with right shots.

Are those goaltenders good?

Ward is the most accomplished goalie at the men's level, but arguably the lesser talent of the three.
Söderström is younger and rather unproven but emerged as the starting goalie in the last 4 nations tournament.
Johansson is the star of this age group but has missed a lot of time this season.

It's a healthy competition but almost a toss-up who's gonna play. I like the younger Söderström myself.

Man, I'm so disappointed Timashov didn't make it, was really hoping to catch a look at him to see what it is that keeps him rated so low in the draft.(and apparently not good enough to make the WJC team)

I like the team. No shortage of fast, offensively skilled players, especially if Burakovsky's available. Goaltending perhaps a bit on the weak side, or at least unproven?

I'd say we'll be a serious contender again this time around.

One thing though, Rasmus Andersson, has he had a weak start in NA? Him and Timashov were players I expected to have a serious case for a spot going into the season.

It's good Montreal is alloying JDLR to play in the tournament.

He's starting to get it going in Hamilton, so hopefully he does well offensively and it gives him a boost.

Until he comes back to the 4th line.

Disappointed for Timashov... but Quebec must be happy not to lose him.

He mentionned wanting to get his Russian citizenship. Maybe he'll eventually switch to play for them. :sarcasm:

He is a swede-Ukrainian player. I think he has played for Sweden already?

Can't players switch after some time even if the played for another country?

His father is Russian and living in Moscow.

not if you played in an IIHF tournament before. Well you can, but I think you have to wait like 4 years.

If i'm not mistaken, he has never played in an IIHF tournament for Sweden.

The U17 isn't an IIHF event and he wasn't part of the U18 team.

If Huffman is right, he has never played in Russia so he can't.

He's probably part of Sweden next year.
