Like: Asplund & Kylington

Meh: Lööke & Lagesson

I like Lagesson about as much as Englund to be honest. Little surprised they took both but they bring some size and balance to an otherwise kinda small and skilled group. Maybe one of them will be cut though.

If Burra comes in I think Lööke will be closest to be cut, few camp games could be big for him.

Next year could be swedens best ever, if Nylander play in it.

Some surprises, Asplund, Lööke and Lagesson. However some players will leave before the final squad.

Some player one could miss is, Hansson, Timashov and Lindberg. I also got the impression that Axel Blomqvist would be in the team. But overall it is Timashov I miss the most.

Yes at this moment I think that is pretty close to what the plan is for the forwards at least, if Burakosvky will play in WJC. Asplund, Bristedt and Lööke is probably the one that have to impress to earn a spot in the final team. Would be fun if at least one of Lööke and Asplund would make the team.

Asplund is btw also a late born 97, so he is almost a 98.

The reporter was acting like Kylington was the big surprise? He has been one or two level above the rest in AIK, so after that he had to be a lock. We have no better offensiv d-men than him. Probably the best offensiv d-men since EK, if not better at this age. Will be fun to see him togheter with Nylander and maybe Burakovsky.

Well, Russia, USA and Canada has better goalies by far than us.

I think us Swedes are too hard on our goalies, you don't need to be a SHL starter to be a good WJC goalie. The Swedish goalies are 3rd and 4th round picks just like Russia's and Finland's.

This team looks very interesting. Getting Burakovsky would be huge. Ballsy to go that young this time around. Really looking forward to the WJCs, the most entertaining hockey competition there is IMO.

Oilers fan wondering what are the chances that Lagesson makes the team? Seems like he is a surprise inclusion judging by the reaction here.

Thought Dima Timashov would make the team considering his production in the QMJHL.

If it was up to me, which it clearly isn't, Bura would be 100% going. He obviously wants to and I'd rather him play in the tournament than him get 8-10 minutes on our 4th line over 4 games. It also frees up playing time for Kuznetsov.

William Nylander has officially been selected to Sweden's world junior team. The Swedes are in Toronto for the round robin.

Has the Swedish roster been announced somewhere and I've just missed it?
