You sir no nothing about me or who I have or havent watched. Youve been underselling him on here since this thread has started, and your "needs to learn to use his teammates" more is nothing but pure nonsense.

He is a great playmaker with good vision, anticipation and a great set of hands. Ive seen him live a few times so you can stow your "you people" garbage.

The example I gave was just one where he "used" his teammates very well. Ive seen many more examples.

Quite frankly it was an odd and inaccurate characterization of his game.

Count me and Bragin in on the "Secret Tkachyov Haters Society".

LOLOL Dergachyov, Mamin, Golyshev :help::handclap::cry: Korenev

I root for Russia, but this year I will be cheering the demise of the offense. No reason for there not to be Okuov and Tkachev. Mamin one of the most useless juniors in all of Russia. Dergachev is sloooowwww, Golyshev is soft. At the end of the day it was either Golyshev or Tkachev, both are small scorers, not role players so I don't know what was the deciding factor because Golyshev was garbage in the summer camp and did nothing in the Canada game except for a few dump ins. Koronev, Bryukvin -no comment.

When the offense stalls, don't be surprised. When your taking guys who are bad to begin with before putting them on the small ice (Bryukvin faceplanted in CHL) over junior stars who make their bread and butter on the small ice like Tkachev and Scherbak, well, your asking for problems.
Okulov's speed will be greatly missed. Buckle up for some low scoring affairs.

Ever hear of team balance?

Bragin is in a tough position having so many skilled midgets in camp. Too small a team will get physically steamrolled regardless of talent level.
Bryukvin, Dergachyov, Fischenko, etc. are good choices, they're hard working guys who this team needs. I would have also taken Kraskovsky. Mamin is ok, at least he has size and is good with Sharov. Korenev I'm not sure about though, likely to be the last cuts imo.

The only big omission is Scherbak. But he didn't care to attend summer camp so screw him. Anybody not committed to the team should not be on the roster.

Like it or not, but that's the typical Bragin, I think I'm starting to recognize his style: Top line - Supporting line - 2-way line - physical 4th line (or was it Varnakov's style? :sarcasm:). I actually was hoping he won't stick to that.

Looks something like that to me now (although I must admit I have been really bad at roster predictions this year :D ):

Buchnevich-Barbashev-Leschenko
Goldobin-Kamenev-Tolchinsky
Bryukvin-Sharov-Mamin
Korenev-Fischenko-Dergachyov
Golyshev

I noticed that too, he's similar to Varnakov with balanced lines. I remember with the 2011 gold medal team Bragin usually had Kuznetsov, Tarasenko and Panarin on separate lines.

I'm surprised that Okulov got cut, but Tkachyov was tiptoeing around in the exhibition against Canada. Can't have that, especially when the medal round rolls around. Several teams will be throwing bodies at Russia, and there have been problems in the past with little guys getting pushed out of the play.

No, probably because he chose not to attend summer camp

because he wasn't good enough. stop those conspiracy theories. not attending summer camp is not being seen by the coaches one time. if it was for the summer camp alone he wouldn't be at the SSS.

Oh c'mon.:shakehead
Scherbak would be one of the better players on Russia. Unfortunately he just wasted every opportunity given to him.

the last two lines look awful. advancing to the semi-final will be a huge success. i'm in anticipation of watching bragin's style of game against big-teams. spending all the time in the world in their own zone and letting the goalie showcase his skill.

If you think Mamin-Sharov-Golyshev is awful, you have a right to think so, but it is ridiculous.

So, how does the goalie situation look out now? Will Shestyorkin get any starts in group games? Or is it all Sorokin now?

hummm. You should care Buddy! You need some lucks on this one because your team doesnt play in Bell Center in the preliminary round but than have 50% chance that it will be the case in the quarterfinal.

Considering that Scherbak is the little favorite of the fans, you can bet that Russia is not realy welcome here this year. Your team lost the advantage of the public favor (and not the 2nd favorite like it should be with Nikita) and will have to deal with angry fans, extreme pressure. Even the NHLers said that its the toughest place to play. How the kids can be prepared? Seriously, I think it will be insane for team Russia at the moment they will put their feets in our province. You'll have to deal with the most intense fans in the world
