Looks like Husso got the start. How'd he look? What are chances he becomes the #1?
 
Was anyone actually able to watch the game? Just wanted to know how the Finns looked so far.

This years Czech team is probably better than Finland, except for goalies maybe.

And as far as I know we were lucky to win that friendly.

Thanks, I have had some thoughts that they might have a pretty solid team this year. God to know its not only me who thinks so.
 
Projektion against russia. Is that Finland wins with help from a saros standing on hes head. Finland wins 3-2.. would be great for the team as the tourney starts soon. That would show that they are not to be count out of the gold.. although its just exhibition I think its an important game to win!

Nah, Saros will only do that when it matters (in the QF). Russia will win the exhibition game.
 
Why is there no reports from fin rus game?

Edit: Is the game tomorrow? On hockeycanada its listed at sunday 21st 7 pm est.. so that should have been on for two hours ago, and still there is just live uppdate on sweden canada game? Why is that? :/

To us, it doesn't. To the player himself, it probably does. Both would most likely prefer to play than watch the action from the bench.

We've all been to the GDT. Finland won 3-2 after SO.

Pretty nice projection by me then :naughty: heh
 
So... the lines tonight were quite interesting.

They were giving a shot at Hintz down the middle, and looks like he did quite well there. That 2nd line seemed to click as a whole. Ikonen scored, and Rantanen looked good as well.


Judging by what we saw here, this is how I'd set it up against USA:

Lehkonen - Mustonen - Kapanen
Ikonen - Hintz - Rantanen
Aho - Kalapudas - Puljujärvi
Lammikko - Björninen - Ojamäki
 
Yeah defense looks set too with

Lintuniemi-Honka
Mäkelä-Lyytinen
Niku-Mäkinen

Hopefully Jortikka doesn't make any stupid cuts.

Vähätalo would be my pick as the 13th forward, meaning Rauhala, Autio, Vuorisalo and Ilvonen should get cut.
