Pretty invisible imo, I only remember having him shot one off Sorokin's face in the first.
However I think hes a lock.

Made quite a few highlight reel saves, that Sorokin did. It was a robbery alright.
So if lets say we won 4-3. Fucale gets a pass because we won? Despite dominating the game?

Top line wasn't even playing and if they can swap the lines around a bit more there will be more offense as well.

He had several very, very good saves. Looked like a stud. The highlights will be full of him whenever TSN posts them.
Dal Colle didn't do a whole lot tonight, he was trying to create but didn't really succeed. Had a few shots blocked and blew a tire on a promising rush early.
No, Fucale played poorly in this game. However, to act like he is the sole reason for this loss when we only scored once on fifty-four shots is wrong in my opinion.
They played well overall, but other than Morrisey the D doesn't look that great. Bowey is good when he joins the rush, but has a bit of the yips with the puck on his stick at the blue line and has no confidence when it comes to containing the Russian forwards when they're coming down on him. The massive gap control on the OT winner shows that.
Domi and Fucale really stood out. Just ran into a terrific goaltender in Sorokin.
Thats the point. That he is playing poorly. Hes not the sole reason why we lost but hes a big part of it. If he doesnt improve his game he wont see another game OR Canada wont win gold with him in net. Dont you agree?
he was great no doubt but it's always the case of the goalie being great and not Canada just finishing their chances.
He had his moments. Almost scored in the first, showed off his tenacity and elusiveness in the Russian's end a few time. Didn't get much ice time to show his stuff.
I've already said it in the last few pages, but yes I think it's Comrie's to lose.
With that being said, I am responding to someone saying it doesn't matter that we only scored once because we had fifty plus shots and their goalie was good. It does matter..we have to finish better regardless of who is in net.
Reminded my of Canada in so many tournaments. Starts off slow and needs time to gel. They team was all over Russia. From the 2nd period on we dominated. Just needed to connect (once more) and have a goalie who didn't drop and over play the puck.

The one goal we had was top shelf, I didn't see any other shots that were going up high. Sorokin isn't that big, he leaves space up high and Morrissey just banged one up high. Instead of shots that don't go high, just try to give yourself extra time to get a shot higher. There will be holes in a goaltender and they just have to execute on the chances.
Just curious, who did you think stood out and was a step behind? Cant call people out and not tell anyone.

In order to be a championship team your goalie should be able to steal a game if necessary, Fucale certainly does not give the impression he can do that.

Probably. They would play a similar role. Sam didn't look like he had his best legs tonight.
You think you would play them in that situation to see what you have though.

I would personally take Heatherington over Morin. Looked much better overall tonight.
