Im not sure we can control all the variables if we factor in decisions about who was cut. I assumed his arguement was that Canada frequently loses more players to the NHL than other countries; which is certainly true. I just dont think it's always the factor that some would like to believe.

Yeah. It's pretty typical of a team like this when they first get together...it takes a while to gel. These kids are all the "go to guy" on their own teams, and when you put together a bunch of superstars among their peers, there's a feeling out process as their role changes and they get familiar with new players and for a lot of them, no longer being the focal point of whichever line they're on. Adjusting to having their icetime cut in half compared to what they're probably used to on their club teams, having to go all out 110% every second they're on the ice rather than conserving energy at times.

You end up with a lot of what we saw tonight...guys at times more interested in cycling around and deferring to one another than putting the puck in the net. Kind of tentative. Tons of possession and shots, but not as many of the quality opportunities really attacking the net as you'd like to see.

It'll come around in time (hopefully), once they get the final cuts out of the way and we get the whole group together as it's actually going to be. There's enough talent there.
 
I agree Ritchie SHOULD be cut.

But I am afraid he wont. A game like tonight he was pretty effective. We all know he will make a terrible judgment call in the tournament, but year after year Canada is always convinced going in these guys will behave

Would love it if they actually said: "Before we announce the cuts...........from our Team Canada World Junior Championship 2015 squad..........we would like to thank Nike, proud sponsors of Hockey Canada. Cents on the dollar products, dollars on the cent prices."
 
Last forward cut definitely interesting -- could be a top 10 pick from this years draft in Dal Colle or Ritchie. OR a returning player
