Does anybody know if you are allow backpack inside the stadium? My daughter wants to bring a NYR blanket with her.

I've had bad experiences trying to get into Yankee stadium with a backpack. Last time, they made me go to a bowling alley around the block and check my bag. Didn't cost much, but it was a pain and I missed a bit of the game.

I'd just carry the blanket in personally.

Any one know if I can buy tickets for Saturdays skate? thanks I havent seen any on stub hub,

can someone please comment about backpacks in the stadium?!?!

You can bring backpacks. Generally going to Yankees games they quickly tell you to open your backpack. You are allowed to bring food and "sealed" water bottles but they don't inspect that diligently. On Sunday they did not even check my backpack or anyone else's from what I saw. They did not pat or wand anyone down. Wondering if it has to do with the weather.

What group is going on Saturday? Rangers STHs are going on February 7th. The Yankees are also renting out the rink to groups

I didnt know how the skate was scheduled, I guess I will check Stub hub for Friday
Feb 7th.

If anyone is selling pm me please.

Yeah, that happened to me at a few Yankees' games last year too - particularly Mo's last game where everybody was trying to send pictures and videos. I guess it's just too many people in one area and even large providers like Verizon can't handle it.

But they have no problem increasing their capacity at Giants Stadium on Sunday, yet 2 sold out hockey games at Yankee Stadium they couldn't be bothered.....

The Skate on the 7th at Yankee stadium is for season subscribers. The Rangers frown on them being resold because an incident occurred I believe 3 or 4 years ago which almost forced the Rangers to scrap the garden skate. It was cancelled one year at the last minute.

Recommend me somewhere damn good to eat around the stadium pls

Kabir Yaqubie has a great shish ka bob stand on the corner of the bat at Yankee stadium. Cant go wrong........:sarcasm:

Seriously I haven't been to the new stadium so not sure.

If you want a frame, you can have a replica made of your ticket for $8. http://www.thatsmyticket.com/hnss14.html

Thanks so much for that link. I think i'm ok. I had my ticket, the thank you card that the Rangers sent with the tickets & a collage of pictures from the day framed. It came out very nice.

As far as her folded ticket that will stay with my collection of game tickets that remain in my file cabinet that have no actual value except to me. :)

I brought a million layers to work to change into, but just realized I forgot extra socks, ****! How bad does everyone think the wind is going to be in the Grandstand? I'm in 422. I can deal with cold, but wind is a killer..

I wore one pair of heavy socks with fur lined water proof boots. By the end of the second period my feet were cold. by early 3rd period they were freezing & I was in sec. 210. You should try to grab a pack of socks.

Just left the game, WOW what an experience, such a great venue, the atmosphere was amazing...outside of the first period the best hockey game I've ever been too.
