Sather must be willing to spend extras cash e the Dorsett deal so either Stralman it dan Boyle IMO

They will sign cheap 12/13 forwards. Carcillo and a random ufa

If they're smart they just promote from within to fill up the last few spots. I've been thinking about a starting group of forwards I would like to see for a few days now and think I have some line combinations that would work out.

Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
MSL-Miller-Kreider
MZA-Brassard-Duclair
Lindberg-Moore-Fast

Would possibly allow you to have the flexibility to bring back Stralman. We definitely need to see what the cap is going to be set at for next year but I really don't see there being much room after re-signing Kreider and Zuc, and I think re-signing Moore should be a priority.

They won't go w 3 kids . 2 sure , it's miller vs Lindberg and fast vs Kristo in camp. Imo

Dorsett out...maybe time to sign Komarov? doesn't fight but hits hard and all the time and he has a playoff player written all over him.

It does make sense

There aren't words for how excited I would be about this. Fantastic player, and like you said, everything we need at the defense position. Him and Marc Staal together on a pair--:handclap:

I just looked at the Blues salary's on capgeek specifically defense. They are top heavy and if they desire to strengthen there offense they need to move salary from the back to the forwards. With the moves the Ducks have made along with the Kings and the Hawks domination and the rising Avalanche the Blues need to try to upgrade there offense or there window of opportunity will close. So Shattenkirk may be in play for cap space for either a Stasny or Spezza? The Blues need to look East for a partner. A lot of people grade Miller as a future top 6( I do Also). So just maybe....I like the idea..of course we need to sweeten the pot. Also this could set in motion a move with Staal for a young fast big top 6 forward from the Jets,Leafs etc..

so I was just looking at Boston's cap space...

They have 1.6M to spend with Reily Smith and Torey Krug both RFAs.

This 69M cap is really gonna make teams make some moves.

Think Iginla is as good as gone. Hopefully not to us.

EDIT - Thought he had another year left on his deal. Never mind

With the Rangers trade of Derek Dorsett yesterday, the Rangers have opened up a spot to bring Dan Carcillo back next season. (NY Post)

Carcillo is likely to sign a deal worth between $750,000 and $800,000 which would be about a difference of $800,000 and $900,000 in cap space from Derek Dorsett’s cap number. (NY Post)

With the current cap crunch, Carcillo at such a deal is a much better fit for the Rangers than Dorsett.

I get a feeling that the Rangers will go after Mason Raymond for the 3rd line LW spot with Zucc and Brass.
Raymond fits AV's style of play, which is versatile and fast (blazing speed). Raymond blossomed under AV in Vancouver, and I'm sure they're looking to add him. He made $1.1Mn with the Leafs last year and I'm sure $2.5 for 3-4 yrs will do it.
Just my opinion.

if they would spend 2.5 on Raymond they may aswell give that to Pouliott

I looked at the UFA list and its pretty bad. Some guys are on the verge of not even getting contracts. Powe, Asham types

I'd definitely give Raymond a multi year deal before Pouilot. and I think he's a good fit for this system.. depends on the price.

I don't think they like the thought of a mutli year deal for the engima Pouilot.

I wouldn't atleast we know Pouliott has chemistry with some guys but yea Raymond makes sense if they need someone but 2 million tops please

IF Moore goes Goc, McClement are options

If Pouliot was willing to take $2.5Mn, I'm sure he's be signed already...

They have more breathing room than that because Savard goes on the LTIR.

It's shades of '12 all over again.

Team has deep playoff run,Cigarface takes it apart.

I like how Cigarface plays hardball with his own people, but can't control himself when it comes to showering FA's with Dolan Dollars.

It's super effective...
