Semin Nash and Zuccarello on seperate lines lol. That team would just keep recycling possession like there's no tomorrow. I approve of that deal.

I do think Klein's and Staal's values hold more in terms of reputation. I would try to pry out one of their top prospects (Murphy) as well.

There is no way we go from going to the SCF to a worse team on paper. Its not Sather MO he wants a cup

4/4 for Stralman would be great. Get it done. Solid in the backend and elevates his game in the playoffs.

Ryan Haggerty is a winger. Chris McCarthy, the other college FA forward we signed, plays center.

How about another idea. Poo; Stralman, Boyle, Carcillo walk. We sign Bollard, Dan Boyle and either Penner(size on 3rd line) or Winnik. Don't extend Brassard (qualify him); raises for Kreider, Dom Moore and Zucc. Miller gets 4th line time; extra fwds are Fast and if needed Lindberg. Klein moves up to pair with Staal and Dan Boyle (PP point man) teams with J. Moore while McIlrath slowly gets experience. Miller begins the process of getting experience which should lead to him being a key center moving forward. Just trying to get creative. And for those asking why Penner over Pouliot; I think he uses his size MUCH better!!!

2014-2015 Line
Kreider $2,250,000.00 1
Nash $7,800,000.00 1

That would be an awesome start. Signing Stralman then gives you the option to potentially pursue dealing Staal for an upgrade at center. I have a funny feeling some team will end up topping that offer.

It depends on where he wants to go at that point. Resign for 4/4 with a team that just went to the SCF? Sign 4.5/5 on a team that is a bottom feeder?

I think adding size at the center position is a must. It was obvious in the playoffs. Someone like Martin Hanzal would be nice.

Someone mentioned him before, but I wonder how much money Goc would want?

He'd be a great Boyle replacement.

What about the playoffs made the need for size at center obvious?

Dan Boyle sucks. Replacing Stralman with him will be a major step backwards.

Creative and informative. He sucks! Cool thanks for the in depth analysis. :handclap::handclap::sarcasm:

While I would love to have Stralman you do have to address a center and replacing Boyle, and probably Pouliot, etc... Not sure I would give Stralman 4 years; especially if you are planning on keeping Staal and would have to sign Stepan and (if you want to keep him) Brassard as well long term. Boyle would be a #6 D-man and the main purpose would be as a PP QB; which IMO he would be better at than Stralman. Not saying his overall game is better than Stralman; but I certainly think Klein can step into his spot and we can use the difference in money to upgrade up front. Boyle also would do well in a puck possession offense which is what AV preaches.

So we're going to give D. Boyle 4 million +, that we could give to Stralman, to be garbage at even strength, not even play in the top 4, and be a marginal (if even that) upgrade over Richards on the PP.

Great idea.

Do you mean Bolland instead of Bollard? I heard Bolland is looking for more than 3.75x3 apparently he wants 5x5. Which he's not worth.

What I would like to see this season is no major moves

Haglin--Stepan-Nash
Kreider-Miller-MSL
Poo-Brass-Zucc
Boyle-Moore-carcillo

McD-Girardi
Staal-McIIrath
Moore-Klein

Hank

If we promote Miller we can use the Richards money to re-sign Stralman easily. You just decided to go into the new season with almost 7m cap space.

I still think dan Boyle is a name that will one up if he takes 2 yrs 8 million . pp help . Stralman should get 4 yrs 4.5 somewhere

$46.5M committed to the 11 signed players

$4.5M for Brassard and Zuccarello. That's $9M.

$2.5M for Kreider.

$1.5M for Moore.

$4M for Stralman.

$63.5M for 16 players.

Brooks wrote about Pouliot getting $2.5M. Craig Custance had a tweet about the Rangers making a sincere effort to keep Pouliot.

$2.5M for Pouliot.

$66M for 17 players.

Dominic Moore will probably be back. Another $1M-$1.5M.

$894,167 for Miller.

$68M for 19 players. The Rangers need a 7th D. Two more forwards.

The Rangers fans complain about Sather not going from the Cup finals to the worst roster on paper. Sather has to be play by the rules. Sather won't amnesty Richards because he wants to win. How is Sather paying Richards and everyone else?
