Having a tough time deciding if I can go to the game tomorrow. I really want to, but I have an exam on monday I need to study for. If I end up going I will provide you all with updates on who played well

I'll be there. Really looking forward to that lineup.

Anderson, Wennberg, Rychel, Hjallmarsson, Dano, D'Amigo all in the lineup. Hot damn, that is an interesting lineup with the main candidates for grabbing the last 1 or 2 spots all playing together. Plus, seeing Jenner at center will be intriguing.

My money is on Hjalmarson for the added offense, and a toss up between Dano, Rychel, D'Amigo and Anderson for the last spot in a more physical role.

No, the players on the ice were too focused on hockey to do any impressions.

interesting that Sean Collins is out of both games...he was at camp yesterday, don't think there was any kind of injury...

BTW: Not sure if it's been posted but Saturday's game at Pittsburgh will be on the NHL Network.

Might just mean he'll be playing Tuesday. From the line-ups (that I saw yesterday), Hartnell and Dubinsky are waiting until Tuesday versus Pittsburgh.

From the looks of it from pre-season, we're not going to have any problem icing a lineup of competitive players who can play tough and play a good possession game. Even if we are down a few more players to injury there are a lot of guys who can fill in admirably.

Where I really think we'll miss Johansen and Horton is in shooting. We can put guys in their places who can control the play, but those are two of the best shots on the team. We could end up losing a lot of close games where we outplay the other team.

This is definitely one of the most interesting starts to training camp in a long time.

I think the 2013 1sts are going to really make things difficult for the coaching staff. I could see all three of them making the team with Johansen and Horton out. Even more than that I would bet that they are going to beat out a lot of players currently on the third and fourth lines which which could allow the coaches to roll four lines even more than last season. Add Hjalmarsson and Gibbons and you likely are going to see almost an entirely new bottom six.

Maybe the most intriguing thing is going to be the Defensemen battle. Both Erixon and Golo have looked like more than capable nhl defensemen which will pose an interesting question. Additionally Heatherington and Mike Reilly (provided we get him) are both really impressive D-men and will be pushing for roster spots as early as next year I would assume. One of the more interesting things about last night was also the fact that Savard played nearly 30 minutes which could indicate the team prepping him for a much larger role.

Either way the franchise appears to be in a really strong position as the prospects at all levels are pushing to make the team. I wouldn't be shocked if we end up as "sellers' in the trade market in order to make room for rookies that have earned roster spots.

they said pretty soon after the "8 weeks" report that it would be more like 2 weeks

if I remember correctly, it was Portzy who said 8 weeks.. the CBJ FO said 2 weeks when asked about it

I know it got updated to 2-3 weeks. I was just taking the free shot at Portzline! lol
