Yes please...

but that's a joke of an offer for Kane.

Yeah. A trade for Kane more or less starts with Kreider.

pretty much.. We also need more guys like Kreider, not trade Kreider to get that player.

They are also loaded on the right side.. maybe if they did Staal + for Kane? but that puts us in a **** position if Mcdonagh gets hurt.

I also see Kreider as a 20-25 goal scorer with 50 points in the next year or two that he's going to be on this rather small contract (something around 2.5M after we sign him).

The idea is to give Miller a chance to show what he can do, assuming he plays well enough to earn the spot in camp.

But, not every line needs a pure playmaker. It's the THIRD line. They'll be asked to play smart, two-way hockey and provide secondary scoring. We know Hagelin and Stempniak are very effective in that role. Now it's Miller's (or Lindberg's or Lombardi's) chance to prove he can be relied on in that role.

well said man !

I love Moore but he didn't belong on that third line last season

I understand their was an injury etc. But he looked out if place on that zucc line

on the zucc line, you need brassard or someone of his caliber.. moore doesnt belong there... but for moore to grab a few shifts with hagelin and stempniak... why not? wouldnt be much worse then miller if miller isnt capable of that role

I'd think Moore would fit better with Hagelin and Stempniak as they all play stout defensive games. Moore was stuck between two players he had nothing in common with in Zucc and Pouliot.

Why though?

Kane keeps getting hurt and has gotten worse since his 30 goal season.

What's with HFNYR's obsession with Kane?

I wouldn't deal Kreider for Kane.

HFNYR has a Mondego-ian complex.

They want what they don't have, can't take solace in what they do have.

There's a difference between having an obsession and realizing what fair value is.

HFNYR also has a complex about overrating their own players. This is not specific to HFNYR, though. It happens any time you talk about sports no matter what. I get it.

Hell, I don't even want Kane that badly. I was just making a point that if Hagelin + Klein + Prospect is what Sather picks up the phone and offers, Cheyadlfknefon (sp?) hangs up the phone laughing.

People need to start thinking about offers like this. We get that what the offer is helps the Rangers, but how can you benefit the other team, too? Other GMs aren't just going to hand us pieces of their team for our **** that doesn't fit anymore. Trades need to be duly beneficial.

That wasn't necessarily directed at you. It's directed at HF NYR always vying for Kane specifically. Not a Kane-type of player. Specifically Kane. It's annoying, he's not even that good.

we as a nyr fan base need to stop thinking of trades that involve giving up all our talent for guys who have won nothing (thornton). it makes more sense to make smaller deals and snag players like jordie benn, tarasenko, shaw, ect, ect.. so many times have we tried to get the guy to do it all (drury, naslund, redden, gomez, gaborik) nd it has never worked out... build a team that can compete for years, dont build a team that puts pressure on one guy to do it all (nash)

If we're trading with the Jets, I'd rather look for Scheiffle, Trouba, Bogosian, or Ladd. But it's not worth what we'd have to trade away.

brassard, staal for little,stuart
if were really giving up to much ask them to add x player/draft pick

If the Jets blow it up, they wouldn't want a 27 year old who could conceivably be a UFA next year, and a player who is slate to be a UFA next year.

It'd be Brassard and (good) prospects probably.

ill do that deal, wtv the prospect is to be.. little is locked up and at a cheaper cost then wtv brassard will ask for, we keep our d core and get an upgrade on center not to mention give zucc a right handed center who can finish off zuccs passes, give staal nd stepan the 6m they want next year even
