2014-2015 Manchester Monarchs - 2015 Calder Cup Champions!

Random question--do we think Vincent loverde has a shot at the NHL next year? Have a follow up question for the roster thread :)

Probably not. He a smart player, and he pretty good at all aspects of his game. But just not good enough at any part to make the NHL. Particularly on the Kings roster.

That was kind of my guess. Well rounded, good player, but may not necessarily translate to the next level, at least not well enough to replace others. Thanks!

Holy smokes! That was a bonus size podcast with interviews with Andy and also Mark Yanetti. Definitely worth listening to if you have the time. I really enjoy this type of stuff. Mark was pretty excited about Jordan Weal, saying he was an NHL player playing in the AHL and describing how Weal faced adversity and kept improving with each step.

He thought that if you merged Derek Forbort and Colin Miller into one person, you would have a Norris-caliber defenseman. Both Andy and Mark spoke with Mayor John Hoven about a number of players. Love hearing what Kings staff think of the prospects.

Have fun, THEKingsFanInRI. Go cheer the Monarchs on to victory tomorrow!

Here's Dave Gove's preview of the Monarchs in the Calder Cup finals:

Enjoy and best of luck to you guys tonight!

Many thanks! Checking that out now.

Warm ups under way. Mersch is on the ice. Oddly though, no Bartosak. But Berube is on the ice.

Ken Cail just interviewed Coach Mike Stothers. He attributed part of their success to there being no egos on the team. They don't care who scores. They play for each other.

I just got back but there are some video interviews on LAKingsInsider.com.

Just as a heads up. theahl.com will be streaming The Calder Cup Finals for free.

Excited to watch the game!

First AHL Live Manchester game here! I'm ready.

Matt Moulson sighting. One of the former Monarchs who walked the carpet.

Nice early shift by Kempe, Shore and O'Brien.

Had a bit of a tech-brain-fart, but I've got the game on now.

Go Monarchs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help!

Is it possible to watch the game without filling out the form and giving my charge card #?

That's the only choice I seem to get when I try to access the game.
If it's "free", I shouldn't have to give my charge#, Y'know?

Maybe I'm just tech-challenged?:(

Just fill out the right side, "CALDERCUP"

The system thinks it's functioning like normal. It should show you're buying a package for about $65 dollars, but after you submit, it'll show zero. It needs to verify a card.

I never entered any credit card information, the promo code is all you need.

Same with me. I Ignored the left side entirely.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't look to tackle a 6'7" guy.

4-on-3? No, 5-on-4 PP for us. Utica is pretty good. Not giving our forwards much room.
