Kind of odd seeing the possession numbers down. Weren't they higher than that when we were losing with Kuemper/Backs?
Yes and goaltending cost them.

Will be crucial to beat Edmonton tomorrow, because the schedule gets a lot tougher after that. I think we can expect them to come back to Earth a bit.
Aaah, I thought that Eastern Conference stretch was after the brutal portion where we have Anaheim, Nashville, and St. Louis in 4 of 5 games.Preds are gonna be a tough game for sure. They better be done with booing Suter.
Honestly though, this team isn't going to have many struggles the way they're playing.
After the Preds you got:
@ Avs (2nd game of a Back-to-Back for them)
Sens (1st game of a Back-to-Back for them after Long Break)
@Caps (Back-To-Back for Us)
@Canes (Back-To-Back for Us)
Avs (2nd game of a Back-to-Back for them) - Brutal schedule for the Avs
Devils
Only tough one of those is gonna be the Caps imo. Don't want to look at the schedule after this though because I know it gets brutal.
It be awesome to not allow a goal against Colorado all year. We've shut them out 3 times already. And by the looks of it according to Spurgeon, it's gonna be that much harder for the Avs to score if their on the 2nd of back to backs for each remaining game.
Nashville 23-3-1 at home
Who would people rather face in the first round? Nashville or Anaheim?
Who would people rather face in the first round? Nashville or Anaheim?
Absolutely Anaheim. Nashville has a killer defense and goaltending. Anaheim is top heavy with offensive guys who win regular season games. Anaheim's coach has never had success in the playoffs in the exact same situation previously.
we play better vs Nashville, so i'm going against the trend here. Not scared of nashville.
OK, let's get to the meat of it: You're a GM, the trade deadline is a week away, your team is playing extremely well in the past month after it wasn't at all for quite a while, so how has this run changed your mindset going into the deadline on March 2?
"Obviously if we had gone the other way and we were well out of a playoff spot, then you'd be looking to sell assets instead of looking to potentially acquire them. But we've been fortunate because we've had a lot of injuries and illnesses [and] our depth has been tested, and we've seen a few young players emerge and start to play a lot better.
Don't worry, I'll reveal my source.

But nice, I don't think it had actually been confirmed yet. Curious to see what it'll look like.
