Most epic draw, that i seen :D

It's just not staged, like they would usually be, and its done manually, not on computer, like it usually would be, and its not rigged, as it usually would be.

Thats why there happens so many conflicts ect and they have to think it on the fly I think.

Come on, atleast give us Nottingham so I get to travel somewhere...

Aw, ****.

Hamburg - Lukko - Lulea - Nottingham

I'm looking for all of these games, specially the Nottingham. Who said in the KHL topic, that Finnish team against non-Finnish team wouldn't feel interesting, was talking complete bs.

That one guy drawing couldn't keep himself serious, which made it bit laughable. They should've just keep calm and draw the teams.

Yeah, he made the whole thing look like a big joke. They did okay considering how unlucky they were with all the conflicts. Use a computer next time though!

I think classic draw without computers is.. Cool. Just get the right people to do it. Guys who actually talk English fluently and have decent hockey career.. Can't be that hard to find.

It was laughable at all points. If you like draw without emotions you need a robot to do it.

Let someone make the draw, enter the team into the computer and......done!

Oulu, Koln, Liberec and Kosice. Looks interesting.

Oulu is a beast of a team, I tell you that.. They would do better in KHL than many KHL teams. Thought they'll probably lose Aaltonen, but they just made three solid signings from SaiPa, signing basicly their best players. They probably ice better team in Liiga than Jokerit for KHL. I'm looking forward for that group and KalPa's group most.

KalPa is traditional team from 20's that was moved from Karelia because of War. It has only little resources but big heart and is loved in the city.

Also you can expect something from Lukko, they are traditional money team in Finland, and some times catch big fishes.

Well, maybe not better, but a team that could play in KHL. They already have really solid roster and just signed Davis, Gilliati and Spang, who were the reasons SaiPa did so well this season. Followed their playoffs too and the "Ulkomaalaisketju" was the magical one for them.

It's not the draw, it's a parody.
Zaugg

The European Champions Cup (ECC, CHL) will be the same disaster. And it will never work, when several leagues are creating something together – the European Trophy, and all those ideas are more or less just jokes. There is no strong central power with enough money to run a competition – the IIHF has not the money and not the authorithy do do so – thats completely different from soccer. There, the UEFA has the money and the power vs. the national federations and leagues. In hockey, the national federations and leagues do more or less ignore what the IIHF wants. The only way for international club competition is a strong central power from a big market with big money – a league like the KHL.

This is so cool. Really stoked about this tourney. A bit dissappointed though that Frölunda didn't get Eisbären Berlin in their group. Would have loved to go to Berlin and watch some CHL hockey. Just an hour by plain from Gothenburg and a really pleasent city to be in. And the beer, of coarse. 'Ein mass dunkle bier, bitte!' *drool*.

...
The question I have is: Who do you see winning the league and why?

It's a bit early to say. But if I had to pick a team now, it would have to be SAIK, IF their roster is mainly intact. I think I read somewhere that Bellemare was moving to Zürich or something, though? Skellefteå was dominant in SHL and has a team with a lot of chemistry and consistency.
