Staal seems like more of the profile for the team than a St. Louis. Babcock and co don't seem to like Hall as much.

I would pick St. Louis, followed by Giroux, followed by Neal. Any of those three will be a good choice, really.

Martin St. Louis and it isn't even close. We need more natural wingers IMO and the speed will help..

I can hear it now... "If we had a full healthy team we would have won that game!"

Do the right thing Y, put in MSL.

This is actually a good thing.....

Good thing for the rest of the world, terrible for Canada. A healthy Stamkos is one of the best players in the world. Was looking forward to him play in Sochi since before the year. Sucks of all the players, he had to be injured this year. :(

Giroux isn't even on the list Yzerman is looking at taking. It's going to be Staal if they're taking a center.

Personally I'm leaning towards Staal as well, he gets a bad rap around here but the guy is money and a great leader

Thing is though that Giroux is absolutely on fire and playing amazingly. He's got 11 points in his last 7 and just tearing it up.

But yeah, of all available options I'd go with Staal.

why? we need someone to play on the wing with Crosby. Giroux would be the ideal replacement. Crosby and stall had 0 chemistry in vancouver

Is Staal much different of a player than Benn, Carter, Nash, etc when on the wing?

He won't be playing centre, and Canada already has plenty of size on the wings. They need a bit more skill, and MSL and Giroux fit that bill.
