I've yet to watch a WJC game yet this week, but keep reading on main boards that Hamilton has been a major disappointment. Any truth to this?

Not a bit, comes down to expectations, and far too often in the past if a kid wasn`t/didn`t dominate (Bruins pick or otherwise) I`d be all over him, exclaiming he`s a bust with my acute eye for scouting:sarcasm:;)

Truth is, I have forgotten often these are teenagers, and although the experience of the WJHC`s can only benefit for the kid down the road, there`s been some great players left off rosters in the past (Segs a good example).

This tournament has the potential, IMO, to drive up the stock of a player too much, and we`ve seen that player get snagged early in the draft and struggle (Neiderreiter sp is an example), initially.

Jones had a very shaky game against Canada, made countless mistakes, that said, no way does he move from the top 5 in picks.

I expect Hamilton to play very similarly for awhile when he makes the big club too - he's trying to play different; conservative, smart - mistakes will be amplified and his offense will be handicapped.

Being mentored by Chara and Seidenberg is a plus too ;)

Exactly, the same can be said for other highly regarded prospects for other teams too, having experienced, better skilled and mature teammates to learn from is huge which is why I, like many, fully suspect DH to be in a spoked B jersey if the season starts

I think many expected the defending CHL defenceman of the year to be a big contributor on the PP and the type of guy who might be able to dictate the play when he's on the ice. He hasn't been able to do that.

Personally, I don't think he has been GREAT but he had been good in all 3 games. I'd like to see a little more from him in the offensive zone but I'm not disappointed in him. Actually, I'm very pleased with his process in the defensive zone. This year's Dougie is far better in his own end than last year's Dougie.

The kid had a solid offensive game vs Russia last year. I hope he can follow that up with another solid game. This time, at both ends of the ice.

If that kid Wotherspoon makes a habit of going into corners, turning his back to pressure and bending over to look for the puck, he's going to get seriously hurt.

People said the same thing about Bergeron. Wotherspoon skated right in, Nicushkin took the extra stride to come around and drill him in the back.

That's the new, new NHL.

Makes it impossible to forecheck without taking a penalty. Worst trend in the game, after diving.

I have no clue what u r watching, but that was nice shot off a bad give away by Schieffle. Put the blame or credit where if belongs dude.

i agree with that. strome was standing right in his way after he turned the puck over. subban didnt even move his glove until it was past him

I really like watching Koko play. He's much more shifty than I expected. He reminds me of Samsonov in his prime a bit.

i enjoy watching him play as well. i went to a couple providence bruins game about a month ago and Koko reminds me alot of the way Ryan Spooner plays. both very creative players with good passing and very shifty in the offensive end
