As soon as the fanboys understand that Bergevin will only add top-level free agents when the young core of the team is ready to win, the better this place will be.

You mean like 26 year old Price, nearly 30 Pleks, over 30 captain Gionta, 36 Markov, 24 Pacioretty, 24 Subban, and 28 year old Gorges?

It's almost as if we have maybe 4 young players and a team-core chock full of established NHLers that should be supplemented with TALENT AT ALL TIMES.

Give your head a shake, and then your buddy's head a shake, and then your own head a shake. Quit defending the management with concepts you clearly don't understand.

You want to wait until when exactly? How young is our core?

No guarantee that our young core will be good enough to win.

Sometimes you have to grab proven players.

Of course, there's no garauntee. With good scouting and a good front office (as Chicago has), you can come pretty close, which the Hawks proved was good enough for 2 Cups in 4 years.

I'm clearly a fan boy criticizing Bergevin and the management.

Every team in our division except Buffalo has managed to either stay strong or pick up interesting new pieces. Bobby freaking Ryan just joined the team that beat the crap out of us and you're not the least bit annoyed at how incompetent this management is looking?

What's the point of hiring so many people up top when they're all idiots?

Gauthier had it right, I tell ya.

Did Boston strengthen themselves... just wondering?

And we haven't stayed strong?

Most teams in the division have lost significant pieces of their team and have been forced to overpay in free agency to fill those voids.

The Habs so far have largely stayed pat with the young team that got them the division title. Yea we lost badly to the Sens but we also had a ton of injuries. Things aren't as bad as you make them seem.

What is the real weakness ? Weak wingers and weak defense... Was this addressed ? Nop.

Rumeur. Échange Montréal-Philadelphie. Coburn, Simmonds et Talbot pour Plekanec, Beaulieu et Moen.

**** I`d kill to get Wayne Simmonds.

Jeez this board is depressing.
Everybody knows we needed an enforcer. It's such a small and minor move, but one that was needed. Instead of wasting roster spots on two players like Kaberle and Weber that weren't even preferred to AHLers, then might as well have a big guy that can punch.

Can't believe people are whining. Some of you guys must have very boring and unfulfilling lives.

Who is that ?

And no because they're likely not reliable and just taking ******** from others.

Our team is WORST right now.

Gionta is injured and Emelin also. We are replacing both of them with Parros and Tinordi.
Briere replace Ryder.

This is not better. This is worst.

Even more when you see that you have 4 of the 9 smallest nhl players on your top6. And that boston, ottawa, toronto and detroit got all better

Did this management bring those players in? Unfortunately, nearly 30 Pleks, over 30 captain Gionta, and 28 year old Gorges won't be part of any Cups here. People cried for a rebuild. We have one, and people are still crying.

I'll be patient with this management, since it's all of one year old.

Fire MB for not having Jakob Silfverberg & Stefan Noesen and Ottawa's first round pick to trade for Bobby Ryan! Shame on him for not being able to pull that off...

You mean Bergevin didn't have any assets whatsoever? Is he that bad at asset management?
