Maybe we can make some moves in the 2009 draft to plug the holes in the Rangers roster for 2013-14. What do you think?

My point is that draft picks arent garbage. They turn out to be trade chips or parts of your roster.

We could have traded some of the dead weight for picks, stock pile some talent for the system. Saved cap space to improve the bottom six. And then made one slightly larger deal to improve the top six. Del Zotto or Staal.

Thats not "moves to make moves". Thats called being proactive and trying to improve the team now and for the future.

No, that is called assuming the league is based around the rangers and excluding the fact that you can't make a trade without other team agreeing to it - without a different team making a better offer etc..
