Yikes did he really say that? That doesn't look too good on Pete especially since Volchenkov and Harrold are getting opportunities instead of Larsson which is completely Pejorative Slured and to a lesser degree Salvador who I think has been ass all year but since he inexplicably got the C he's immune to benching. I still think Larsson will be a very solid player in this league but this year has been total cluster**** with the 8 d-men fiasco

Welcome,

What part of the Chicagoland are you in. I'm out in Aurora/Oswego/Naperville. On the border of all three

Haha Same! Naperville/Lisle area. Moved here in 02 from Jersey so Ive been here a while

Transplanted in '05 for work.
Lisle always makes me think of Chef Paul's. Haven't been there in a while.
There are a few other Devs fans around. I catch a bumper sticker or jersey every once in a while. I got the JRZ DVLS plates, saw someone with a tire cover near me a few years back.

I know this probably belongs in the ticket thread, but I am going to the game tomorrow and I need to know what time the doors open. Is it 6pm?

I think it's 5:30 or at least it always had been before this season. It's 90 minutes before game time. I say it's the time it had been before this season because I haven't seen any game in Jersey this year!

lol yea every so often I see someone with a Devils jersey at school or just at random places. All my friends are pretty much just bandwagon Blackhawks fans who really don't know much about hockey. A couple of my buddies who play hockey are really the one's I can actually have a legit conversation with about hockey. I haven't been back to Jersey either which pisses me off because I really wanna go to the Rock at some point because I hear great things about it.

This will be the first season I haven't seen a game at Prudential Center since it was built. It will probably also be the first season since like 89-90 that I haven't seen one Devils home game at all.:amazed:

Luckily I got those ****fests down here in Florida to hold me over!

Sucks because we have been having the best crowds during regular season yet. Wish we had more wins to show for it, but that starts tomorrow.

Travis is already starting to play a lot better then has has for most of this year. So I think he will be fine tomorrow.

I used up a bunch of vacation time during the lockout. Visited my buddy in Denver. If there wasn't a lockout I would have come back to Jersey to visit family and friends like I did in 2011 for Christmas. I decided just to come to Jersey in the Summer. I also wanna hit Denver again, and really need to visit my uncle in Las Vegas for an extended weekend this year. Last year I used my two weeks paid vacation to see the Florida series! All 7 games! I spent so much flying back and forth twice just on airfare!:shakehead

Damn that is a lot of travel. It has been crazy, I mean you have seen on TV, but crowds we only got at playoff games for random games against the Jets. I hope we make the playoffs and do something so this can continue.

I haven't kept track, but how many sell outs are we at this year? I remember for a while the only non sell outs were the two Tampa Bay games.

Still holds true, as far as I know. I understand not selling out weekday games, but I'm not entirely sure how we managed to sell out everything but Tampa. They have a dynamic offense. You'd think that would put people in seats.

We managed to sellout weekday games against Sabres and Canes, and even a Monday afternoon game against the Sens. The rest of the weekday games were divisional.

Tampa Bay also has a dynamically bad defense, and I figured Devils fans would wanna see lots of Devils goals too!

Some of those sellouts have been a bit sketchy at best. Sometimes it seems as if they manage to get one person sitting in every row and that's enough to be considered a sellout. Not to mention the discounts they've been running ($75 club seats for multiple games for starters).

Agree some of those sell outs have been fluffed, but no denying the place has been close to packed every night for games last year that only drew like 13,000 at best.

Next year's the true test. I can easily picture the 12-13,000 games popping up again with the longer schedule and more random opponents. If they really do have an influx of sth's though maybe the floor at least gets higher (to the point where you can squeeze out 14-15,000 for Columbus on a Tuesday, for example). It's gonna have to be since out of 41 home games, we'll have a combined eight max against the Rangers/Pens/Flyers with the new schedule.

The home loss to TB was a pathetic Devils effort.

Not as bad as the Isles game at home. First one wasn't a bad effort just some dumb mistakes, and a dumb penalty and we lost in OT. Last one was a total no show for half the game. Just like most of the games at Nassau Coliseum only now they're doing it in Newark too.

That TB loss Moose gave up a couple clunkers, and there was the big goalie factor I keep talking about that has been proven true now. The reason we scored a bunch of goals on Lindback the first time is because he gave up a bunch of crap goals. Bad rebound, and a horrid shortside goal.

It was one of too many horrid losses this season.
