He was definitely playing a little bit ahead of himself, then regressed. That said, he was given a lesser role on the team (after Tallon signed every 3rd liner he could find) and that definitely had affect on his numbers. Two seasons ago, Santorelli was 20g 21a in Florida. Then 9g and 1a in 60 games last year.
I gotta say, watching the scrimmage (and I know it's just a scrimmage), Butler and Matteau both really look like they belong. Butler looks a little lost in the O zone sometimes but that's to be expected. No doubt the staff will clear that up quickly.
EDIT: Wait, I've confused myself. Butler is 9, right? Who's 15?

Even if he can't play hockey I ****ing love the guy as a person
That might be too much to have him on our cap hit. Maybe not though. At least we know what Zajac will be getting so that helps out. Maybe not though.

Sure sounds like #Stars deal with Jamie Benn getting finalized. Latest Dal offer I heard was 33M. Look for cap hit around 5.5M for 5/6 yrs

Josefson (foot), Barch (groin) are "resting", Devils say.
I didn't watch the scrimmage how did Pesonen do?
i thought he looked good.
And in no way shape or form are you being biased?
Lou is pretty much saying 10 games into the season is when a move could be made when he did this interview with Francesca. He has said 10 games before in another interview. That might be when we see a defenseman traded.
The Islanders haven't won a home opener since 94/95 I think.
The Devils are great at breaking those kinds of milestones.
I am guessing Lou is waiting for a big D to go down early. It is going to be interesting who gets bench. I never though it would be Larsson or Volchenko but I don't see how Salvador, Tallinder, Fayne, Greene, or Zidlicky sit when healthy.
