Holy heck... if the Devils somehow landed Jamie Benn not only would the Devils be in great shape.... every single person that wrote and published any kind of predictions for this season would have to re-write it and take out the part about how we are going to be miserable and miss Zach Parise so much.

If Dallas is moving Benn, they'll want several assets coming their way. It's very rare that you see 1 on 1 swaps like that.

I think a package of Merrill, Josefson future #1 pick and another prospect (Boucher?)could get Benn.
But, I am not sure I would do that if I was Lou.

I could see a trade with them. Maybe there's a Tallinder or Volchy trade for Ryder worked somewhere in there... or maybe a Tallinder/Volchy/Merrill/picks for Benn in there. But they are a good trading partner... they need D.
If they don't trade any of their forwards, they have a solid group down there. Morrow, Benn, Eriksson, Jagr, Ryder, Whitney, Roy, Fiddler, and so on.

Swap Merrill for Larsson and add more. Benn looks like he is going to be a beast in this league.

I honestly don`t feel like there`s a better way to put it. He can play literally anywhere in any role. Would also be a perfect fit style-wise. He has skill and grit. Our lineup is full of holes at the moment and needs a top6 goalscorer. He`s exactly what we should be looking for.
Unfortunately, Stars need him as much as we do. It`s not happening. Morrow is a goner though. But I`m not sure I`d trade for him. Two years ago? I wouldn`t think about it. But after the last season, his injury AND the lockout, there are just too many questions about his play.

No way, you're over-rating Benn. He's good, real good, but not an elite forward.

Benn is much better than Nash though ,but I agree.
No chance you get Larsson, especially seeing how Dallas may become desperate since Benn wont agree to a deal with them ( I know he is an RFA and they hold the cards but they are going to suffer if they just let him sit and be an RFA for a chunk of the year)
That is my guess. I would think Dallas would need Larsson in the package to do a deal.
Been is only 23 and has already had 3 great season in the league. Each season getting better and better. I rather just wait until he is a free agent and over pay than trade for him now.

Can we impose a rule? NO ONE post this on the trade board please? I don't need us to have to defend ourselves when everyone talks about how we have no assets, we would have to trade Henrique, and Larsson, and Dallas fans (rightfully so... we were doing it with Parise) asking for the moon.
