I thought the name on the Stanley Cup and the last clue would throw some off. It's almost like a trick the way it's worded lol.

Oliwa was pretty easy for me because im Polish. I followed him alot for that fact lol
Im not 100% sure but I know Oliwa did not play in the playoffs in which his name was on the cup. He was injured or something. But since he played enough reg season games his name was on the cup

Yeah he didn't play for us but got his name on the 00 cup. Played with the Flames in their finals appearance, IIRC.

Berube is not an enforcer.
Btw, he didnt play ANY games this year besides today with Trenton. He had been out with injury.

It was more of a joke, and if he's not an enforcer, then he's not much more than a fourth line AHLer.

Do you think that Larsson will be able to play on the PP this year ?? He has been great in the AHL so far this season...

If I remember correctly more then a few people wanted him on the PP last year, so I don't see why not.
Hard to know this year. We have a new PP coach so it depends if Shaw wants to use Kovy as a point man or if he wants him to play the full 2 minutes.
If he gets time, I would guess it would be on a limited basis until he proves himself.

Depends, if Kovy plays the full 2 minutes on the point, then there are only 2 other minutes available to split between 2 defenseman. Since Kovy is going to be the big shot up top, I would guess the Devils will go with defenseman who are distributors with deflectable shots, rather than big shooters.
Zidlicky will definitely be one of the 2 defenseman used, then you have Greene, Tallinder, Fayne, Larsson, and maybe Harrold for the other spot. So based on that, I don't think they'll use Larsson's minutes on the PP, even though he could probably be fine there.

No, but I'd be surprised to see him do much more, especially considering he was sent down to the ECHL after all the Albany players were called up.

The LW depth at the moment is really gross, but I do get the thinking. I am not against this being Tedy's sink or swim moment. If he is ever going to be of use to this team now is the time to do it. See if one of these kids spark so we can spend assets on other things. I am sure Lou will be quick on the trigger to pull some pots and pans together to get a cheap forward, and you have to think if a deal is to be made sending some of that D out for a better forward it will be found.
Still makes me wonder why not bring Sykora back. I get not wanting to make a panic trade to fill depth since Henrique will be back, but what risk was there in bringing him back and maybe seeing him replicate some magic with Patty even if it is for a few games, especially since Lou is giving Darche a chance. I don't know, I don't quite get it.

Sykora coming back wipes out a chance for Tedenby or Butler to play top six minutes.

What strikes me as bizarre is Lou is willing to let the forwards go into the season potentially massively shorthanded on the off-chance that a couple not exactly blue-chip prospects can hack it in top-6 roles, but he goes and ensures that his defense has an extraordinary excess of veteran talent which would prevent any young defensemen from having a shot at the lineup.
At this point, it's not even a sure thing that Adam Larsson has an everyday roster spot.
