Will look better when Henrique is back and Elias slots into LW.

Now though, I agree, doesn't look good.

who are you and why is your name blue?

I was half kidding as a follow on to the Elias and Salvador saying they're not going to be captain.

Who is your daddy, and what does he do?

Ahh, werdage. I'm just glad that for once, we dealt with a pending UFA smartly-especially one that has such importance to the team as Zajac does.

“It was definitely disappointing losing a great teammate and a close friend, but it’s an opportunity where he gets a chance to play at home in front of his family and friends and it’s a new chapter in his life,†said Zajac, who can become an unrestricted free agent at season’s end.

lol Zajac trolled everyone big-time. Gotta love Lou keeping the wraps on it and announcing it himself, some things never really change.

Yeah, let's not bring Sykora or Ponikarovsky back.....

Damn it...

Poni didn't want to wait to see what would happen with Zach.

I would love Sykie back but I understand keeping the spot open for Boo or Butler and see what they can do. ( that has to happen at some point )

Lou didn't waste much time last yr making moves when the team needed it I expect more of the same this yr if the offense struggles.

Good lord.... Look at that LW depth.....

True enough.

I like what they are doing with Tedenby though. Sink or swim time for him probably. Reminds me a little of the Bergfors situation (though I think Tedenby is a much better player), look how that turned out...

I can live with that. The one thing I am very happy is that we don't see Barch or Janssen in the regular lineup, meaning DeBoer has learned how crucial an effective fourth line is. Also that he's keeping the chemistry going with the D-pairings and the fourth line, and to a lesser extent Zajac-Kovalchuk. If we could get someone like Hemsky to put with Elias instead of Tedenby, if he falters, I'd be so excited.

Honestly a potential top 6 of Kovy-Zajac-Zubrus Elias-Henrique-Clarkson doesn't seem half bad to me. Clarkson is still a big question mark but Zubrus has proven to be a nice complementary player kind of like Langenbrunner. He'll never carry a line but put on a line with good players he'll produce.

Still adding a top 6 or even a top 9 forward would be lovely.

I'd like to see Butler with Elias and Henrique while Clarkson solidifies the third line with Josefson, personally. A lot more balance scoring wise, otherwise we'd ice a Tedenby-JJ-Butler third line, that scares me.

Nice praise for a poor mans Mike Rupp

Johan Hedberg raved about Matteau's shot and release today. Said the shot on his goal vs/ Brodeur is one he's seen several times in camp.

Holy god our wingers are gross.

Henrique isn't going to ready for several weeks according to Lou. So that is several weeks with that lineup possibly. Dear lord.
