For sure, Jagr is a very good kings player. I won't forget how he held off Kopitar and such single handedly. The young kids could use him a ton and develop their game with him, and he is just a good character.
Since Sakic and Roy seem to be in win-sooner-than-later mode, I wonder if they might be a good trading partner in camp.
Maybe something around Martinez + Nolan for Siemens?
Fills 2 needs for them. We could send Siemens to Manchester while giving Nolan's spot to Pearson or Vey.
(I'd prefer to keep AMart but it's clear he's the odd man out.)
This postseason, pics of Jagr going for a late night skate have popped up (see here), as have those depicting him wearing a weighted vest (see here) a 30-pound flak jacket he wears for strength and conditioning.
When is the last time adater has been right? Serious question.
I think Jagr would provide some nice depth in our forward group and he's good along the boards so that's a fit, but again he's another right wing and we have too many of those already.
This! And for those like the Dingo who say he'd help the PP a lot, He might...but the Kings went from 21st to 17th to 10th in the NHL on the PP. In fact the Kings PP went from 17th to 10th last season and they did it without one single PP goal from Anze Kopitar so I'm not sure Jagr's needed. Kopi on the other hand is...
Kings need to stay gritty. Skill is nice, but grit is why this team wins.
Damn Dirty Dingo!
I'd take Jagr. Not gonna happen tho.
Jagr faded badly with the Flyers in the second half of the season. He's good at protecting the puck and at taking very long shifts and that's it. He's going to the team that offers the most $$$$$$ and that's it. Not that there's anything wrong with that and it's not like he mails it in but I don't want any part of him.

Perron traded to Edmonton.
