KINGS17 in 3...2...1...
Someone on the main board (not a Kings fan) suggested Clifford for Mason Raymond.
I think Dean would pick up the phone and listen, not sure Toronto would make the call though.
Cammalleri might do well in a supporting role at about $3.5M a season.
Not really sure who, given the style the Kings play, would get in on the forecheck and knock opposing defensemen off the puck on a Cammalleri - Kopitar - Williams line. Really doesn't fit the mold of what the Kings are doing in terms of size up front.
He definitely was not the guy to give $6M+ to, and build the team around.
Pretty sure Dean would never consider it. I'm paraphrasing what Dean said about Cammalleri, but it was something like, "Will always be one of the best players on not-so-great teams." That's about as damning a statement as Dean can make about a player.
We're better off unloading Frattin instead. There will be plenty of takers for Clifford but not so sure about Frattin.
hey guys, just thought I'd pop in to say hats off to Scrivens. I always liked him in Toronto so of course I was stoked when he was traded to LA this past off-season. I always knew he was a more than capable tender, but he's really been lights out so far in LA. I was convinced his career path would follow that of a good backup, but instead I'm starting to think he may actually challenge some teams as a number one goalie. I bet Lombardi could get a very sizeable return for him if the Kings are interested in trading him assuming Scribbles can keep up somewhat similar numbers for the duration of the year.
So yeah, Go Kings. I'm happy with how great the hockey culture is out here in LA.
Per Bob McKenzie: "Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 3h
NHL govs likely to get (14-15) cap projection from league when they meet early next week in California. Sounds like it may be around $70M."

ok that number sounds low. i think with what 6 outdoor games (or is it 8 i can't remember for sure) and golbal billions added to league revenue and its going going up 5 million for some reason that seem really low to me

I don't know if I agree with those comments from Lombardi. Cammalleri's 32 points in 32 playoff games beg to differ. He was a lethal threat when the Habs made a serious push and upset the Caps in the playoffs.
I don't know what happened behind the scenes but seems like Cammalleri fondly remembers his time spent in LA and still says that playing at Staples Center still feels like home (Bob Miller said so himself during the broadcast).
Cammy was moved because he opened his mouth in the Montreal media. Is that the type of player Lombardi goes for?
He has 10 goals this year, I have been following him because he is on my fantasy team watch list. But he goes 3-4 games without a point.

That's an okay jump. Hoping it's lower 70's.like 72 million would be a good cap.
So whats going to happen with Frattin ? is this guy a permanent HS scratch now ?
Is Lewis going to go 70+ games this season without a point ?
