Good stuff. Funny that we grabbed such an exciting prospect in a draft where we didn't even have a 1st rounder.
Right now, there are 3 players that could finish with a goal per game... it's very unusual these days in the QMJHL.

Mantha is just destroying the Q right now. 24g and 29a in 22 games? And he's listed at 6'5" and 204 lbs. Is he taking advantage of smaller players, or is he another steal for detroit? He had 50 goals last year. How did he last until the 20th pick? His HF profile mentions a questionable work ethic, but a player that size and that kind of production is hard to ignore.
Yes, he's certainly one to watch. Not even close to a sure thing, but definitely loaded with skill.
Buchnevich is a just as, if not more exciting. Boom or bust players that are having strong seasons.
Him and Boo on a line...Yes. This is why I want him to make the Rangers.
Http://twitter.com/aj_ranger is a must follow if you're interested in Rangers Euro prospects.Nope, haven't seen a Severstal game. Hockey Streams used to offer KHL games but removed it for this season. Unless you find a random stream online, I don't know how else you'd see them.
I'm sure we have some European posters that are able to catch games. If you're out there, we'd love to hear from you!

Adam Herman
Anthony Duclair is so incredibly similar to Hagelin, but with more offensive upside. Just made a great play in own zone to get a breakaway.

By the way, Duclair has a goal today, though it was basically an own goal. Still counts, and puts him at 22 goals through 24 games.
Now a primary assist for Duclair. Set up a one-timer on the powerplay to give Quebec a 3-0 lead.
Can anyone give me a brief synopsis on Duclair's and Skjei's recent play if they have been up to date?
I've been slacking, haven't seen Duclair lately.
Skjei looks light years beyond the player we saw last year. He's poised with the puck, confident, making smart decisions. He doesn't dominate you physically, but just makes smart defensive plays, is good with his stick (like Marc Staal, for example) and usually in the right position. I wasn't exactly concerned after last year, but I was eagerly awaiting this season to see how he'd handle a larger role. He's flourishing.
