Firing Rex is the wrong move, IMO. He did a good job this year. Given the Jets' personnel, they overachieved.

Yep, I agree. They're gonna have a lot of cap room and a lot of picks, let them bring in some more offensive pieces and see what happens next year. Rex was more subdued this year which was needed and Marty looks good handling the offense so I'm thinking he deserves another shot.

OL is like fourth on the list of things they need.

A #1 WR
A pass rusher
A CB
Then OL

Like I said. Add a good guard in FA. Can play Boothe at the other guard spot and he's decent enough that the line will be ok.

Spending multiple early draft picks on the guard position adds nothing to the team

OL is pretty easily above a WR. Frankly, depending on the draft slot, they should consider drafting a tackle and moving Pugh inside (or to C). Depends on who is around.

I have never hated a NYG team more than this season.

Every win other than Washington was basically given to them on a silver platter

This will probably set the team back at least a full season in the needed rebuild.

Want the Giants to win? They lose. Want them to lose? They win. :shakehead Oh well, who wants a Top 10 pick when you can have pride. Wish I saw some pride when they got steamrolled back to back games with the playoffs on the line last year....

I almost wish the Jets would keep losing so they could get a better pick but I'm glad that it's looking possible that Rex will be back. Nobody out there is coaching this team better. They're a terrible football team who is sitting at 7-8 right now. Offensively maybe the least talented team in the entire league and still finding ways to win.

Giants will pick anywhere between 9-15th. They'll probably win next week. Very disappointing to have this season and then not even get rewarded for it.

Hopefully TC and Gilbride will retire, and maybe someone good will fall to us after everybody reaches for QBs.

Could walk away with a top 10 pick after today. Would be more Giants typical to finish 7-9 than 6-10 though.

Would love to see Nassib get a half, but I know that won't happen.

Tuck's last game as a Giant? Thanks for a great career if so.

There's just no point in moving Pugh. He has shown he can be a good RT. Why move him instead of just drafting guards or centers? Why risk moving him?

As for the WR thing. 2008 they had the best OL in the league and still couldn't put up points because they didn't have a #1 WR for a lot of that season

Nassib inactive :(

Obviously not the worst thing in the world to have your rookie QB carry a clipboard and learn the entire season on the practice squad, but I would've liked to get a regular season look - especially in a lost year :dunno:

It's not a risk moving him. He can play guard for sure.

The problem is he is just good at RT. not great. Never will be great. He can be a truly elite guard. Draft a RT, move him inside, and our right side is solidified for a decade.

From what I have read the NYG view Pugh as an OT & have no intention of moving him inside.

I hated the pick at the time & hoped maybe he could be a dominant G.

Just one more reason the team needs a regime change.

I disagree with everything you just said.

There is absolutely nothing to say he can't be a better tackle than guard. Nothing.

All you have is the predraft reports saying he may not be good enough at tackle and may have to play guard.

He is physically built better for guard than tackle. Pretty clear when you actually look at him. Way too short of arms for RT along term. He is your ideal guard.

You can disagree with me all you want, but you'd be wrong.

Cant wait till the regular season ends, the Giants made me sick this year. Looking forward to the playoffs, should be some good teams

So you are basing all of this on his arm length. Ok then.

Basing it on his entire body. He simply isn't long enough for tackle. He is good but not great. He's a guy who gets by on technique. Because of that, he'd make an outright elite guard. Talking multiple Pro Bowl level type of guy.

I'd much rather have him as an elite guard than a good tackle.

He's 6'5. So you are basing it only on his arm length. Like I said.

Projecting him as a "probowl guard" is just that, a projection based on nothing but you thinking he would be great there.

He's been the best OT of his draft class thus far, I don't see the point of moving him. If he struggled at tackle, sure, but he has improved every week

Improved every week? No. He's been steady since about mid season. That's the problem. You'd rather settle for just good.

I'm convinced Santana Moss hates Kirk Cousins. Between his three fumble game, dropped pass into a INT last week and now another easy dropped pass.
