Did they go for two? They scored 37 points, 5 TDs would be 38 right

Yeah. GB went for the 2 but it was an incomplete pass. Though, that was a missed call I thought because the Dallas defender was pulling on the receiver's jersey.

As a matter of fact, the last interception was immediately called an incomplete pass by one zebra who was standing right there as everything unfolded. Green Bay, and lucky for them that they still had 1, had to call a timeout so they could review if the pass was indeed intercepted.

Wow, thats crazy. Same old Cowboys

So, I think that Jets fans can find a lot of positives in that game with Geno. When Geno had protection, he was looking OK. Made one mistake but didn't let it ruin the rest of his game. He's a completely different player when he has a trusted receiver.

I thought he was fine, was expecting 40-10 today, and they played much better than I thought they would. I really like Ivory, just him staying healthy is the question mark. The 80 yard screen and the block punt were back breakers, love Sheldon scoring .

In the long run it's better they lose to get a better pick, two more weeks of Holmes and he is out of here, thank goodness. Would like to see Geno play well the next two weeks, and still lose, hope that is not the a bad thing to say that I want them to lose .

Yeah I think that's what you want to see. Geno look good and improve AND them still manage to lose.

Someone on Big Blue View just pointed out that Kevin Gilbride's son is our WR coach. Dear Lord.

Jets have a lot of holes to fill this offseason.

If we want to spend a late rounder on a QB or sign a vet, I'm all for that. Otherwise, we really need to upgrade the offense on our team so that the next QB that we bring in (I don't think Geno is the answer- but nobody can really succeed with this current offense) isn't screwed like Geno was.

I'd try and sign Asamoah from KC and Maclin this offseason. Maclin should come (relative of course) cheap considering his ACL injury and the strength of this WR class. Asamoah would instantly come in and be a rock in the interior of our OL for the next 5+ years.

I would then draft a WR (Lee?) in the first. Ideally, though, I would like to trade down if someone like CLE wants to trade up. Maybe CLE will want to snag Derek Carr AND Davante Adams? INDY 1st+CLE 2nd for NYJ 1st. Maybe then use our extra third to jump NE to snag someone like ASJ?

1. Marqise Lee
1. ASJ
2. Lamarcus Joyner
3. Carlos Hyde

Sign me up.

First of all it's spelt asomugha and if we sign a Cb to play oline we are in deep ****. :shakehead:
.....yes i'm super cereal right now :sarcasm:

Ryan doesn't know if he's coming back next year. Players want him back. Does Idzik?

If you fire him who do you get? Cowher? Dungy? Gruden? Do any of them want to come a year removed from what was labeled as "the biggest circus known to man"?

If not, then where do you go? What alternatives are better than Rex? I don't see any. Shanahan? You want to bring in a publicly disgraced coach and the drama that will surely bring? Even if that wasn't a problem, he's now lost control of his locker room in 2 separate cities. Pass.

Otherwise, your options are relatively limited. Sign a few lame duck coaches. No promising college coaches. No other coaches leaving their contracts.

Extend Rex. Cowher, Dungy, and Gruden may not want to coach again. Rumor has it that Cowher, if he came back, has always eyed the Giants coaching position. Coughlin may be a goner. Why would Cowher pick the Jets over the Giants? They already have a franchise QB. You really kind of need one to get anywhere in this league. Does Cowher believe in Geno?

Part of a long offseason for the Jets.

Cromartie, Santonio, Sanchez, and Goodson will all be cut. That's 40+ mill in cap space. They have options with players. Not so much with coaches.

It's not just the coaching. Eli is completely broken.

I think improving the O-Line will help a lot. The confidence is gone with Eli. If he can get some time and get his throws in again you'll see the picks go back down and see some old Eli. He's forcing and defenses are just too good now to force everything.

Yeah, don't think Eli is broken...

I think he's been sacked more than most teams this year. Though this chart says Giants are in the middle of the pack, it doesn't factor in how many times Eli had to throw (a pick in most cases) to avoid a sack, nor does it factor in how many times the Oline was directly blitzed through. Lets not forget the games where he was sacked several times (sometimes consecutively). You can only put so much blame on Eli, and quite frankly the Giants Oline was absolutely horrific, ALL season

Eli lost his confidence. He needs some teammates that can actually get their **** done.

None of those guys are taking this job, think it's way too hard to get them out of tv, would take a special team or a team on the verge of greatness. More likely options would be either coordinator in Cincy, Seattle OC who Idzik knows, or a retread like Lovie Smith or Ken Whisenhunt.

Improving the O-Line doesn't change much since a ton of his INTs this year were without pressure on him.

But alot of the time he had less than 3 seconds to let go of the ball... at least the game I watched.

I'm not talking about actual picks. just watch any of the games this year, you'll see that he has little to no time to ever get rid of it...

Giants offense relies almost entirely on a dominant #1 receiver. Nicks with all his injuries just isn't that guy anymore. And Randle isn't either.

Cruz is not a #1. He's a slot guy.

If giants need anything on offense it's a great X receiver.

Add a good guard in FA to replace Snee and you have a decent OL

That's really not all that true. Especially last game. Had all the time in the world. Still threw pics.
