Eli should've been benched.

Coughlin won't fire his coordinators & he won't hold his QB to the same standard as the rest of the team

Mara should take a flamethrower to this team

Wow, I have to tip my hat to the Jets. After the media killed them in the off season and off a 3 game losing streak when all looked lost, they are really resilient. I am not a Jets fan but I am curious from the Jets fans on the board. Even if you drop the game in Carolina (which isn't a guarantee - any team can win). The playoffs look like a possibility. What are the elimination scenarios? I was looking and if Baltimore wins one more game and the Jets drop one, that would eliminate them? (due to tie breaker?). Baltimore has 3 tough games. I think the Jets can beat Cleveland and Miami.

Knowing the Jets, they'll probably beat Carolina pretty handily, inch one out vs the Browns in the 4th quarter, then after having their fate in their own hands, have an absolute implosion vs the Fins to lose it.

#FreeNassib

Start Eli.

Play Nassib.

x1000

Although playing Eli probably helps us get a better draft pick

It's brutal luck for NYG fans that we luckboxed a run of backup QBs or we could draft where we deserve - top 5.

I pray Coughlin resigns because he won't fire his coordinators.

This team is a joke. Such a lack of talent. Reese should be ashamed.

I don't know the exact scenarios, but it's quite a long shot. We basically need to win out and hope that Baltimore wins one or fewer games. Pretty much everyone holds a tiebreaker over us at the moment.

It's okay, though, if we miss the playoffs. We've seen some good things from the team this year. Wilkerson has emerged as one of the top defensive players in the game. Richardson looks fantastic, and Harrison came out of left field to become a terrific DT. Kenrick Ellis has been tremendous when healthy, and Coples is a solid player. Antonio Allen looks like he could be a player, and Landry has been good. Walls and Lankster have proven to be good depth guys and great on ST. Milliner has struggled but looks to be improving. Overall, the defense has been good, and whatever holes we have should be easily filled in the offseason.

Offensively, not so much. Mangold and Ferguson can still be elite players, but they need some help on their sides. The guard play this year has been an abomination. Winters, Ducasse and Aboushi have all been busts. Winters may become something down the road, but right now, he sucks. We've seen good things out of Ivory this year, Bohanon looks like a keeper and Cumberland is a good TE2. Obviously the biggest questions are at QB, WR and TE1. I think addressing the two guard spots and adding some actual talent at the WR spot will solve the QB "issue," to some degree anyway. The Jets defense should be elite moving forward, so really they just need an offense that's not terrible.

It's been a successful season for the Jets. Even if they lose out, really, it will have been better than the "experts" predicted. The team has a boatload of picks and cash to spend this summer, so things seem to be looking up.

Ojomo to the Titans practice squad.

He's a guy who I always wanted to see more of with the Giants. I guess he didn't show enough in practice, though :dunno:

The next Wallace Gilberry probably. Flashed in NYG preseason multiple times. Productive starter on other teams.

A few months ago I suggested that the Giants trade Eli for 2 1sts. Wonder if they'll consider it.

Dude, **** no.

I just want Nassib to get game action, and for Eli to keep his iron man streak alive. Though, if they pull him after one play everyone else in the world will jump on the "put an * next to his streak" bandwagon

Don't think this Giants team is that far off from being the toast of the NFC East. I think I'm alone there though.

We're going to add a great piece in the draft this April. Plus Beason for a full year.

Who knows :dunno:

I mean, I guess in the NFL anything can happen. Giants need to fill up so many holes though.

Need a couple d-linemen. Need at least 3 o-linemen. Another WR. 1 or 2 RB's. A linebacker. Some secondary help. A TE.

Snyder loves RG3.

When Shanny is fired, Snyder will hire the next coach based on their determination to make RG3 work. RG3 is the answer that Snyder wants. He's the dynamic QB who will get fans in the stadium and hype up the team. Cousins won't be that guy.

Wonder if Jets offer a 3rd for Cousins if we'll get him. Low risk, high reward. Draft Watkins, Lee, or Evans in the first round. Draft a good RB in the 2nd round. Lacy was found in the 2nd round last year. A 1-2 punch of Ivory and the RB we get in the early 2nd should be much better than Ivory and Powell. Finally, sign a veteran and dominant Oline man.

Beason was an upgrade over the crap we had/have but this is a LB rich draft & we should move on from him.

Beason stops the run ok but he's a sieve in coverage.

Reese needs to stop ignoring this position.

The changes in the league require players that can cover TEs & RBs @ S & LB.

We also need a defensive leader. Rolle is overrated & on the downswing of his career

CJ Mosley is exactly what we need. I just hope we even get a shot at drafting him.

I think the biggest thing the Giants need is a coaching change. Because we need 2-3 new coordinators. Coughlin is a lame duck. He's got 1 maybe 2 years left.

Fewell is garbage.
Quinn has made our ST a joke.

I'm done with Gilbride too personally but he's at least had some dominant success.

I say give Eli one more year to show this season was an aberration.

Trading for Cousins could ruin Smith

He needs a veteran backup to help him not more competition IMO.

Unless they've seen enough to bail already.

Giants
The Giants probably need are a playoff (10 win team) in 2015. I think this will be a transition year. They will take a lot of heat over the summer but I think they'll need two off seasons to plug holes with the draft and free agency. As bad as Eli Manning played this year, he will be 33 in 2014. He has another run in him. It is difficult to find a franchise QB and a healthy Eli Manning fills an important role.

Jets
I tuned in to Francesa (who obviously has an agenda against the Jets) was commenting on the New York sports landscape in December and didn't mention the Jets. Is it really a foregone conclusion that the Jets are not making the playoffs. Even if they drop this Carolina game, the other teams vying for the 6 seed do not have an easy schedule. The Jets can go 2-1 and get the playoff spot. You figure Miami goes 1-1 anf if they lose that game against the Jets, Jets are in. Baltimore has Detroit, New England and Cincinnati. (0-3?)

33 y/o Eli is the exact reason they should trade him now and get more 1st round picks.

And Jets need to lose out. Not win out. Need a play maker on offense. Need a RB the next round. Need a TE. Need a couple o-linemen. NEED A QB.
