2013-2014 NFL Thread IV (Giants firing Gilbride? Skins want Fewell?; Jets keep Rex)

New York deserves better teams, in all sports. Mets suck, Jets suck, Giants suck, Nets suck, Knicks suck, Isles suck. The Rangers are okay, and the Yankees are usually good. Seems like we should be more competitive as a state.
 
I'm just gonna come out and say it: the Giants should move on from Nicks.

That guy keeps getting hurt and I don't think he'll ever be a reliable receiver like he once was.
 
This loss is a good thing. Puts them back in their place and puts pressure on Reese and ownership to retool the franchise.

Pierre-Paul was a no-show today.

This, This. SO MUCH THIS.

The fact that he took himself out of the game last week in the RZ while he's *****ing about getting no TDs pissed me off

He's injury prone, he can't get any separation, he can't break any tackles anymore, he can take that #1 WR money and shove it up his ass.

Even the Yankees are heading straight for a brick wall at 90 MPH. The Rangers are in the best shape right now. By far.

Just think about that for a second and try not to die :cry:

Fewell. Blitz? Blitz?.. BLITZ? whats that? no we'll rush 3 or 4 and alllow Romo to have all day to throw the ball.

Missing Nicks was a huge factor in why the Giants lost today. Some of these posts are ridiculous.

Cruz was the focal point of the Cowboys D gameplan, and he couldn't do ****.

Unfortunately, the Giants have no choice but to move on from Nicks considering the contract situation.

Only a few good things come out of losing in this town -- one of which is the vanishing act pulled by the fake "fans" after they realize its not cool to be in the South Bronx at 10pm on a weeknight.

Everybody has a new arena now. At some point, it will lose its niche and people will avoid going to games like the plague.

The Yankees, Rangers, Giants and Jets still have light at the end of the tunnel. The Mets are going to be very good in about two years. The Devils are screwed. The Isles will be fine once they fire Snow and move to Brooklyn.

The Knicks and Nets are FUBAR.

you act like Nicks has been good at all this year though. he hasn't, he's been horrible

He refused to speak to the media about why he was kept out. Subtle hint that Coughlin benched him and he wasn't injured enough to be out of the line-up.

I'm utterly livid right now.

Omg, if thats true, he should be fired on the spot. regardless of Nicks sucking this year.

No. I act like Nicks is a better receiver than Cruz, because I truly believe that he is. I also act like defenses have to prepare for a combination of Nicks+Cruz A LOT more than they have to prepare on a combination of Randle+Cruz. The Dallas D was very clearly focused on Cruz all day, and he was shut down because of it.

This is why Randle was actually noticeable, and Brandon Myers actually caught passes today.

I think we're all going to be in for a surprise next year without Nicks.
