Ha Koivu's sweater in those pictures from the interview thing today with all the sports teams players is hilarious.

Ooh, and dat 2010 1st round draft class doe.. And Granlund looks like My Buddy all grown up whilst Coyle looks like he could stare down a wolf. Variety is the spice of life.

EDIT: Also, a Finn, a Swiss & an American walk into a bar..

Mikko Koivu and Zach Parise split up in today's #mnwild practice

Per Russo:

Parise-Coyle-Heatley
Cooke-Granlund-Pominville
Niederreiter-Koivu-Brodziak
Mitchell-Konopka-Fontaine

Well, they split up Parise and Koivu. No idea how those lines would work.

I like Parise and Coyle. Not sure Heatley is the right fit for that line, or anywhere in the lineup.

Second line...Granlund and Pominville, that's good. Cooke on the left side? I dunno. I'd rather see him on the checking line. He hasn't done anything offensively since the first week really.

Third line, well there's Koivu. Not sure if he's going to actually get third line minutes or not, but I've wanted him off the scoring lines for a while. Brodziak at RW, that's fine. Nino on left? Couldn't you swap him with Cooke? That would make more sense to me.

Fourth line lefties, whatever.

My variations on those lines would be:

Parise - Coyle - Fontaine
Nino - Granlund - Pominville
Cooke - Koivu - Brodziak
Heatley - Konopka - Mitchell

Ideally we'd have a better RH shot on the top line RW but we're kind of stuck. Nino would be good there, but then you don't have anyone that would fit on the second line LW.

Sounds like they are overthinking this waaaay too much.

Parise - Koivu - Coyle
Nino - Granlund - Pominville
Cooke - Brodziak - Heatley/Fontaine/Mitchell
4th Line
