Well, at least he finally got Heatley off the 2nd line.

Now if only he can get around to splitting up Koivu and Parise.

I still maintain that Koivu would be best on the third line, given his defensive play. His apparent lack of offensive confidence should also lend to that.

You should go back a couple pages I posted an interview were yeo talked about waiting on coyle.

I'll be fascinated to see the lines when Coyle gets back considering Granlund has proved he needs to stay right now. Obviously it'll be top 2 lines, and personally i'd like to see wing to start out game 1 with at least. Back with Koivu and Parise, now that's to start with, but can't wait to have him and Brodin back

Parise - Koivu - Coyle
Nino - Granlund - Pominville
Cooke - Brodziak - Fontaine
Rupp - Konopka - Mitchell
Heatley :D

Suter - Brodin
Ballard - Spurgeon
Stoner - Dumba

Backstrom/Harding

When we have no injuries. Now I know Fontaine scored tonight but he has seemed pretty weak on that line, but he might stay if he keeps producing and improving who knows. He just seems to panic and get pushed around a little too much. Any other ideas for lines?

There is no other way Yeo will setup the Top 6, this what I thought was a lock for the past couple weeks after Coyle came back. I just hope Coyle doesn't forget how to play Center because I think we will need him there soon.

Call me crazy but I want Prosser in the place of Dumba. Prosser can clear out the front of the net better than Spurge on the PK and this team takes to many penalties.

but the more minutes you give prosser, i think the more penalties he takes.
can't be that gritty and stay out of the box. (edit: don't get me wrong--i'm a Prosser fan)

I really like Prosser's physicality. He's like Stoner without that many defensive screw ups.

Prosser is nowhere near Stoner in terms of physicality. He might be the equal of Dumba right now, but Dumba oozes potential. Do agree that you should cycle the three of them, with Stoner inserted for the bigger tougher teams.

the problem with stoner is he is--as he has always been--inconsistent in that regard. he should be physical, and he is decent when he's playing primarily simple and hard, but Prosser is harder to play against night after night.

Yeah, this. Stoner at his best is better than Processor, but like rynryn said, Stoner is inconsistent.

Prosser rarely gives me a heartattack when he's on the ice. Stoner does.

It's little talked about however, I'd like to see the occasional goal come from our 4th line every now and then here. When Coyle comes back I would like to see Fontaine back on the 4th line if for no other reason I think he along with Mitchell and eventually Rupp could really be a pain, skate well and hopefully add the occasional goal from time to time there.

Fontaine will still see special teams minutes as well so he will still be very valuable in that 4th line roll.

Only way I see the 4th line producing much at all in terms of goals is to switch Mitchell back to center, then have him in-between Rupp and Fontaine. We'd probably get a goal out of them once every five games or so, maybe more.

4th line is a combined -8, not much I know they have lots of possession but there is lots of room for improvement. As much as I like him as a person, I don't think Konopka fits. Fighting every game has not helped this team.

A place.
Konopka unfortunately has to go I think. When Rupp comes back I'd like to see him replace Konopka.

I am not sure how you can say that. Konopka's fights this year came as a result of the other team taking a "run" at one of the Wilds young guys early in the game. I dont know if Konopka's fights have done a ton to help, but I bet its nice for the younger guys to feel like they have somebody watching over them.

Really? Have you been watching the home games? I believe almost every home game he has started a fight in his first shift for absolutely no reason.
