Who's Bumped out of the Top 6 when Nash Returns

I'm assuming it would be one of Hagelin, Kreider or Zuccarello, but they've all been playing great lately.

tough call. I would say to start Nash goes 3rd line with Brassard and Dorsett but it's inevitable he goes top 6

I don't like Nash and Richards so guess i'm forced to say

Kreider, Stepan, Nash
Hagelin, Richards, Callahan
Zuccarello, Brassard, Dorsett
Pyatt/Pouliott, Moore, Boyle

Miller needs more playing time in CT but he's a good call up option. Mashinter may as well go down too when Pyatt is back

I'd prefer no one get bumped if someone did it HAS to be Callahan, especially since Hags and Nash have good chemistry. Zucc, Kreider, and Hags have been doing too much.

People seem to forget that the RW that Brassard primarily had his success with last year was Zucc. So, by moving Zucc next to Brassard, maybe it gets Brassard going. I also know that the ONLY center that Nash had any chemistry with is Stepan.

I don't think anyone has to be bumped per se. Step's line stays the same and is the top line. Then Richie centers Cally and either Miller or Pouliot and Brass centers Hags and Nash. Until one of those next two lines establishes consistent strong play, they are 2a and 2b.

I can't see tinkering with Step's line. They are playing too well pretty much every night.

Nash wearing a contact jersey today at practice. Callahan and Stralman, who sat out Wed for maintenance, are back on ice #NYR

Hm......don't rush back Rick. I'm very surprised and skeptical at how quickly he's taking contact.

Dr. Kutcher is involved with the process and Nash. The player isn't playing unless the doctor feels the player is ready. About 9-10 days ago,John Shannon said Nash would be back in 10-14 days. The Sportsnet guys(Shannon,Millard and Johnston)had the Nash stuff. They had the doctor. They had Nash skating. The Rangers denied and denied.

Is it too early to speculate he might be back Tuesday vs. Boston? He's practicing in a contact jersey and working out with the second power play unit.

Also tomorrow night: @mooredom returns from 7-game injury absence so @BMash23 will be scratched, and @JuicerFalk is in for @MichaelDelZotto

Sounds like a trade to me. Del Zotto has had a few good games recently.

i just dont get it....MDZ is worlds better than Falk.

It makes no sense to me.

Its foolish if they are showcasing him and it doesn't much help on the ice.

It would make more sense coming off of an awful game.

Either he is being traded before Saturday or they do not plan to move him (if they plan to at all) until the deadline or the draft and they are hoping to light a fire under him.

Strange.

I'm pretty sure the purpose is to get Del Zotto playing better, whether AV thinks the issue is motivation, or if he simply thinks watching a game will be helpful.

Or maybe they know the recent history of Ranger hockey in Montreal on Saturday nights and figure since we're guaranteed to lose anyway we might as well get Falk some ice time and play tough while taking a beating on the scoreboard.

Yeah the coaches are making moves based on the team being "guaranteed to lose"

Brilliant

I'm going to go out on a limb and say its probably not this.

The brilliance lies in thinking the post was anything but folly in the first place. If the post is serious why isn't Mash in the lineup? Let's follow the logic down the line. Or not.

Your posting history amplifies the risk of a purposely dumb post going undetected. You must be aware of this risk, no?

The timing is still strange. MDZ played an ok game on Tuesday.

Unless he had an awful week of practice.

Well, it's about equal in, uh, "quality" as the rest of your posts, so, you know...

He practiced with Del Zotto as the 8th defenseman:

Still, Nash isn’t ready to voice a timetable for himself, even if he feels he can see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

“I hope so,†Nash said. “I don’t want to jinx anything and things take a bad turn tonight and I don’t feel well. Right now everything’s positive and I’m staying on track.

“I don’t know if there’s a timeline on it, it’s just a matter of feeling comfortable,†Nash added. “It was four weeks of doing nothing so it takes time, it just doesn’t take three practices and then you’re back at it. It just takes time. Today is going to be a good test to see how I feel later on with taking some bumps and taking some contact. The timing is there, I feel like the hands are there. I’m just waiting for the legs to catch up a bit.â€

Doesn't sound like he's physically ready to come back. Better he's completely ready, rather than risk coming back too soon.
